Looking for a new mobo. i dont want to spend a lot and dont need any fancy features. Just the ability to OC, 6+ sata ports, and fan control headers.

What are some good ones? I have experience with Asus bios but im sure any would work

I just bought a gigabyte g1 z170mx. Nice board. Some poor bios stuff but never really got in the way.

Im thinking about the ASUS Z170M-PLUS . It seems to be the only asus less than $200 and should have good fan control

I'm eying up a mITX mobo too. Interested to see if any others chime in here. I'm still doing my research as well.

I've got this one . Been working great for me so far, even if the wireless is kind of useless for my purposes. It is a mini-pcie card though so the adventurous could possibly do something with it.

I bought the Supermicro H170 and while it's not the prettiet BIOS and have all of the bells and whistles it's a Server grade kick butt board.
Have an i7 6700k I used to set things up then got the i5 6500 for non-K overclocking.
Not a gamer so I didn't push it really high.
Use a 120mm AIO and get 4.4GHz which is fine for me.

Also have an ASRock Z170 Extreme 4 matx that has the i7 6700k on it.
And that board is also very easy to use.
Do not OC it though as I haven't any need so far.
Ended up just being an Internet PC to check out stability using WIndows 10, which I absolutely hate.

I got the ASrock Z170m Extreme4 and it's been pretty good so far. The reason I got it over the ASUS Pro motherboard was it had USB 3.1 A and C as well as an optical out for audio. IMHO that's worth more than the slightly better ASUS BIOS I would say.
