hello!

in win 7 or something, there is a very useful snipping tool that turns on with Win key + S.

Can I have this in Win 8.1?

I need a SIMPLE tool like that, not some bloatware with thousands of controls

thanks!
 
it's not like the old snipping tool, this is useless, there is no global keyboard shortcut
 
I am pretty sure you can set the short cut yourself.
Right click on the exe and go to properties -> short cut -> define your own keys...

Finding the EXE - in the windows folder or
Start -> type 'snipping tool'.. right click on that and go to the file's location.

OMG, why didn't I know this? Was this a Win + onward feature?
 
I don't know.. am not near a win10 machine. I typically revamp all my keyboad short cuts out of the box.. so maybe.
