In short, I don't game as much anymore and I'm moving towards visualization for more of my daily needs and my room gets rather toasty.

So I'm looking to trade my Intel 2600k CPU (and stock heatsink) and Asus Maximus IV GENE-Z Micro-ATX motherboard for a 2600s and compatible VT-d Micro-ATX motherboard. (Q77 chipset preferred, but any VT-d Sandy Bridge compatible motherboard will be considered)

Motherboard does need to have 4 dimm slots as I only have 4x4Gb of ram. (wish I had 8GB sticks)

I know I'll be losing out on the deal, but I think its a fair trade if the other trader is willing to ship first.

Have heat and ebay if needed. Willing to provide direct contact info to provide peace of mind if needed.

EDIT: Will consider ATX sized motherboards as well now.

Does it have to be a 2600s or would a regular 2600 be OK?

Let me look Monday at my local supplier to see if I can find anything decent for you :)

If you think you might want to go SFF I have an i7-2600 and DQ67EP, mITX case, and 750 Ti. Bump.

tempting... but I don't think I can go small form factor as I need to have 3.5 drive storage as well as bluray burner. but would consider the cpu / motherboard and possible the gpu trade.

I might have something, let me look at what I have and I'll shoot you a message. It's a low wattage I just can't remember which one.

Finding those exact parts is going to be a challenge. The "S" models aren't very common and who knows when someone here will come across one.

I think you should try EBay for the CPU. I found a couple selling in the $150 range and under. You could definitely get that back by selling your i7-2600K.
