Right now if you get the Citi ATT Access more card and spend 2000 in three months you will get a statement credit up to 650 dollars towards the purchase of an ATT cell phone. This potentially could be double if you are not an att customer currently and move to them and get their 650 switch credit as well.

The downside to the card is it has a 95 dollar fee that is not waived the first year but they esentially give you an S7 or IPhone for free - which you probably could sell or sell your old phone..p.s. the cost of the cell phone if charged on the card counts towards the 2000 dollar total.

So - Get card - buy an s7 for 697.00 outright - charge 1303 dollars over the three months - get 650 credit on your bill.

You can probably sell that s7 for 600 right now minus the 95 dollar fee and 47 dollar difference - you still come out 468 dollars ahead.

Receive an AT&T promotion Visa pre-paid gift card in the amount of the early. termination fee or device balance owed on your final bill minus your trade-in value.

So if I don't have an ETF or device balance do I get anything for switching?

I don't know about switching to att and how that works since I have it already - this was more about the credit card deal

ATT > all others where I live by a long shot 1H west of manhattan

I'm on AT&T and I got approved for the card, so I'll be getting an S7 when it comes out next week. I used this link (application on the left).

Wait... you have to spend $2000 or more in 3 months to qualify? Who the hell spends that much for cell service?!

I don't think you fully thought this through. You need to spend $2K on the card you sign up for.

-$650 that you spend on the phone. That leaves $1350 over three months. That's $450 per month. I will use it for everything for those three months. Gas, food while on the road, and utilities. It will be easy.

Yep... Attention to detail. I did not realize that this was a credit card.

My wife needs to upgrade her phone too. She's not eligible for the card, so we'll put it on the card, and that leaves us with less than $700 to spend on the card over three months.

You also get a free vr set if you buy the s7/s7edge (I just got the edge...holy hell is it nice) - ane if you have never used samsung pay - set that up first time you use it you get 30 dollar gift card for free...I lucked out my company is paying for my cissp classes so I can put it on my new minty credit card - hit my spending limite and get reimbursed for everything!

We were going to get the S7s. Then I found out that they cannot be rooted. Looks like I'll be waiting for the HTC M10 or the Xiaomi Mi5. I hope this deal works on those phones.

works on any phone bought at att in store or online (from att). 650 credit after 2000 spent in three month time. I am not sure when those come to att? so you might want to buy an s7 and sell it to get the money for those.

Nah. I don't want to support Samsung if they continue to lock down their phones. I get why they are doing it, and it makes sense. If they want Samsung Pay to succeed, it MUST be secure. I don't want Samsung Pay, so I'll get another phone. I'm thinking about the Nexus 6P too. I'm pretty sure the others will be out in the next month or two.
