I'm building a HTPC system based around an ASRock Z97E-itx/AC with an i5-4690K CPU. I'm looking at 16 GB of RAM to run some VMs in the background, and will be using the iGPU as well.

I've pretty much narrowed my selection down to two kits,
G.SKILL RipjawsX F3-2133C11D-16GXL 16GB 2X8GB DDR3-2133 CL11 240PIN 1.5V Dual Channel for $100 CDN + tax shipped
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C10D-16GXM for $110 CDN + tax shipped

The first option is red, CL11, and rated at 1.5V, while the second option is blue, CL10, and rated at 1.6V. I'm not planning on immediately OCing things, but am open to it.

Which option is "Better"?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Chewed on it a bit, went with CL11 option, it's cheaper and I'd be looking at <1% difference in performance.

Good choice.. I have several sets of those and even overclocked a 1866 kit to match a 2133 set and it works great. I've only had one pair of the CL 11's and had some compatibility issues on certain Z77's.

I am a fan of the gskill ripjaws and they now have a titanium series on amazon for a few dollars more, decisions decisions
