Big Progress in FAH Daily Production

Both of my 980tis are MSI Seahawks.... So are the MSI version of your EVGA Hybrids. Kyle and company had them gaming at 1567, but I have not really wanted to push the volts that hard for 24/7 folding 87.5 is quite a bit more than I want to try. So far folding my Seahawks are around 50-55C. I guess I could raise the fan above 50% but the are in bedrooms so uhhh no.

Right, I did not pay attention to your sig. I am at 1461 with stock voltages now, will keep it running to see if stable.

You may have postponed it, but you're still gonna get mowed. :p

I will do my best to get mowed with style ;), though at the end I can't stop you with my current resources. What I can do is trying to make it really [H]ard for Vanilla_Heat to mow me. Let's see the outcome of my (relatively) evil plan :p

You guys better start watching your rear views I see Core32 is back and it looks like he is adding more D and I see a new guy BYUSinger84 who looks like he is not playing around also, looks like there may be some mowing going on in the backfield.

BYUSinger84 seems a rejoiner ... First records 2008 ... Welcome back !

And looks like lots of CPU slots ... Watching my back mirror.

@jfb9301: congrats. With the power of two Seahawks ... Flying high ... Way to go.

My one Seahawk (with a little help of 970 & EC2) also got me the same "best month evahhh" with 21Mega points

It's just awesome to see all this GPU power being added to the [H]orde! :D

Brought back my 2P on SMP. One question, though, I read on this thread that the kraken was counter-productive with P7527. Would you recommend to go vanilla V7 on SMP, or stay on V6 with Kraken because this project is not always assigned ? The first WU I got was from this project

Either way you will still get assigned 752x as its one of only a few projects that likes more than 24cores, I left the v6 client on both 2p SMP machines with the -bigadv setting to avoid them. points on 810x may be lower than you can get with smp but the risks of getting a slow 752x or non kraken WU from other projects make it worthwhile.

Too bad my Seahawks (football) are not flying anywhere near as high as those two cards..... Though they deserve less than they got this year. You cannot play half a game and expect to win.

Over 40 M points for me, best month ever.

I remember my first 40M+ month. :D

Sure you can. The Panthers did it.

For a little extra oomph, try -bigbeta instead of -bigadv. The bigbeta flag still works and gets you almost all 8107 units and higher PPD. ;)

Given that I got a 752x last night that hfm said would give me the equivalent of 86k ppd from a rig that normally does 180k that is a mission for my next day off, i'll be switching both rigs over to -bigbeta

It's been yet another big month for us. We broke 1 Billion Points! Time for some big beer and big tamales!

FYI, Grandma's PPD took a serious 24-hour hit when my lab had a CRAC unit malfunction last week. Everything is back online and folding [H]ard.

you made me google it ... the first thing up in the list was crack; I was shocked; but a bit down the list from CRAC followed :p

My dumbass paused my main client yesterday to play some games and I completely forgot to unpause it when I was done. It's been paused for 24H as I just unpaused it. Damn it!

:facepalm

I was wondering why I slipped past you on the daily average, you usually have me by 10-100 K.

I see ole Vanilla_Heat surpassed you in daily production recently. Falling behind there jfb9301.

Yea, I'm getting a little less run time on my son's rig......I thought of grabbing a 970 or something, but would have to yank a 960 to drop it in. A gain of 150KPPD for $300 is not really enough of a bargain. I have nearly $500 set asside for computer upgrades, my thoughts right now are to hold out for a AIW watercooled x80 from the next generation of cards. This plan would keep my rigs more up-to-date in the longer run.

My main PPD rig is also my gaming rig. It's easy to see what days I spend a lot of time gaming and what days I do not. haha

Shhh I am being sneaky... Oh and I just got two of these for my birthday...

I wonder what I am going to fill them with....

Well, back in the day it would have been as many cpu's as you could afford. These days its as many 970/980/980ti's as you can afford
