A bit disappointed with 980Ti in SLI

Oh man, why would I come here bullshitting about my SLI not working?
I'm done attempting to tweak it. I don't expect 100% scaling, but I would like at least 40-50% scaling and I'll be happy, about 70% and I'll be very, very happy. But nope, some games just don't even get 15% (The Withcer 3 lol). Some have way lower FPS when I turn SLI on (The Division, DayZ). Other work great with Inspector (Rust, therefore my excitement). Most games don't support SLI at all.
One would expect that developers would work on SLI support with nVidia if they are making a game that requires some powerful hardware. Neither SLI nor 4K is new tech and more and more people are getting there. Besides, I'm not going 1440p because the screens are tiny and there are no TVs with that resolution.

From what I understand modern game engines use optimization technics that rely on information from the previous frame in order to render the next resulting in extreme high efficiency, see Unreal Engine 4. SLI will never work with that and the trend that new games don't support SLI at all will continue. With Direct X12 it should be possible to utilize multiple GPU's in ways other than traditional AFR/SFR modes but thats up to the developers and I have my doubt its going to happen in more than a handful select titles.

How stupid is that? Like everyone is working against the development.
Why make demanding games/engines if you don't include support for more powerful configurations? Why even bother?
Oh wait, consoles. Fuck them, and fuck everyone who buys them.
