So I found this deal while browsing around the qlogic site -- who wants to give it a shot?

When purchasing a 34xx or 84xx ethernet adapter from an authorized reseller, you can get a $575 rebate. To qualify you MUST ALLOW Qlogic to use your company name & logo for promotional purposes. Valid only for first purchase of Qlogic products.

Authorized resellers:
Reseller Search Results

You'll notice Provantage is listed.

Qlogic $575 End User Rebate
QLogic 10GbE Adapter End-user Rebate Confirmation

Provantage Product Link $180.62
PROVANTAGE: QLogic QLE3442-RJ-CK 2 Port PCIE GEN3 to 10GB Ethernet BaseT Adapter

$180.62-$575=-$394.38

Mods: I posted in this in Hot Deals instead of Free Stuff since I figure it's better than Free (and so more people would see it). If it MUST be moved, please move it.

Seems questionable you would get the rebate, they want you to submit your company logo and approve its use in their marketing materials. I'm betting they would just deny the rebate if you didn't have a company and no logo or put in bogus ones.

wouldn't risk it unless you really are at least a small company.

My brother has a company and I do (free) IT stuff for him including dns, website & mail. Wonder if he'd purchase this.....he has owner of his own business. Worth a shot maybe? Only downside is all my 10G stuff is fiber, not copper.

Indeed they do! I definitely need to ping my brother on this this weekend....

Gave this a shot & their rebate form bombed out....contacted sales. Will see what they say.

Just FYI they may actually check to make sure your company name exists. I also strongly advise against trying this if you work for a large company... My employer would terminate me immediately and then sue me for damages most likely. It would also suck if the rebate check showed up in your company's name.

My brother has his own company, website, email, etc....he is the president/owner & has 1 full time employee & 3-4 part time. Still waiting to find out how to get the rebate. No problem if the rebate shows up with his company name on it -- we kind of even expect that.

rofl, no way.

EDIT: Doesnt work for me? Maybe your browser is messed up and its showing your search history or something?

Tried it in both Chrome and IE, on my work laptop around 5pm Central. It's fixed now for me as well on Chrome at home. My jaw about hit the floor too. :)
