I've been ok since the reinstall. I think it's tidbits from Aslains that causes it, but can't say for sure.

Now, about this patch. Fuck this patch. I HATE IT !!!

The water feels like molassas. The whole concept of motion and speed is all fucked up now. I have no idea what they have done there.

Also, it's hard to believe it possible, but I think the Ibuki is even WORSE than it was before. my god, 170k XP to get out of it. This is going to be brutal :(

So far the only really enjoyable games I've had have been in the Murmansk.

Yeah, this here is pissing me off. Feels like sleepwalking where everything is moving at 3/4 speed. It's hard to describe, but my brain hates it.
 
They are probably making fixes to small bugs like:

Carousel goes back to large view from compact view and ... the 3 million credits everyone should be getting for level 12 are not there... and MM

Yeah, I got all those issues :)
 
World of Crash to Desktop indeeed. After the patch game crashes when I click log in and does not load my port. Anyone else have this issue other then Droc and Techlarry? Have not tried to reinstall yet since I preloaded Division Beta last night.
 
Running Windows 8.1 Pro on my desktop that has the crashes. Haven't tried it on my laptop yet but it is running Win 7.
 
do you have any mods loaded? if so that could cause your issue, try removing all mods. I think damage counter is currently broken.
 
Wow, the IBuki is god like compared to the new CRAPGAMI.

the turrets actually keep up with me as I turn, and the guns hit decently hard!

Sounds a lot like how the Yorck used to be. Turrets could barely keep up with half rudder. Made it really hard to avoid fire and shoot at something. That was a T7 which made it a bit more bearable. Then one patch they took the turret speed from 57s down to 33s if IIRC and people still bitch about it. :)

while the turret speed sucked, it was never the problem with the yorck.. the glaring and obvious problem with the yorck is that it has 210mm guns that overpen EVERYTHING smaller than a BB, but can't even pen a T4 BB for a citadel hit.. also hitting a citadel with it is near impossible due to the angle of the rounds, you can't hit below the water line within 10km and outside of 13km.

that is not a problem any longer, as soon as I get under 10k, I switch to AP, and I've citadelled Myokos, clevelands, and mogamis.
 
Does map scaling change based on the Tier of the battle?

Let me see if I can explain this...

You have 10 ships in a area under a T10 map/battle. They all typically are floating at 12-15km away to start.

Take same battle, same everything, except insert T3 ships. Now, with the same visual effect/field of view (in other words, it all looks the same), except the ranges are now 6-10k.

Does this scaling happen in WoWs ?

I ask because it seems like it to me. In an upper tier battle, it seems it can take considerable time to close up 3k on a ship, but in a lower tier battle it's like holy shit, they are right on top of me all of a sudden.

I'm not talkling about ship speed. I'm talking about world speed/distance, if that makes any sense.

Or, to put it another way, does the same identical map/visuals for say a 10 tier game play out on a radar scope set to 30k, while the same exact map/visuals for a tier 3 game play out on a radar scope set to 15k.

I hope I explained this halfway Logically LOL
 
I got this to work on my laptop so don't think its a mod issue. Will have to reinstall it on my desktop when I get a chance.

Have to read up on the new captain skills. Is AFT still worth it for cruisers like the Cleveland with the nerf? or should you be getting Manual AA instead or is the extra range for AA better?

Not sure I am good enough or have the ships for this competitive team thing. My highest tree ship is tier 7 Pensacola. Do have a Tirpitz though. No tier 9s or 10s.
 
If you keep a good eye out for planes, the skill might make sense. When playing the MK, I don't usually notice the planes until they are close, so I just opted for AFT to get the automatic 20% range (plus I use this captain in DD's) and just hit defensive fire when they are near. I didn't want to deal with having to select the individual squadrons.

You had a damage bonus to them by manually selecting them before. Not sure if that still exists now, but that's why people did it.

Speaking of manual selection, I put together a new video where I finally get CQE thanks to how goddamn easy the new patch made it. I'm testing out a buffed secondary Amagi to see how I like the changes:

I'll be doing the giveaway on Sunday at 4pm EST for Warships :D

How is the Zao post-patch? Did they hose it up or is it still good?
 
Bought the Atlanta today and put a 14pt captain on her. 13.3km range with AFT. The amount of damage you can put out is so much fun. Gotta be careful getting there though. I am a sucker for guns/killing DDs and 14guns at 13.3rpm, couldn't resist.

Also absolutely slaughters planes. Even Lexi planes I took out 37 one game.

Had some fun games with bananax. He suffered through me learning how to use the Atlanta. :)

I went for manual AA first before AFT on the Cleveland because I thought that 2 * the 100 DPS of the high caliber AA was worth more than a smaller percentage of the whole AA DPS.

Sounds like you like the secondaries now? I'll have to give them a try. The Japanese secondary range almost makes me want to go down that BB line next.

In that one game with my Benson I popped smoke but that Yorck must have had hydroacoustics on. Gets me every time. :\ Chib's crash might have saved him. I only got one torp on him because his NC came to a stop. I was wondering how the hell he knew to do that.
 
My Shima Detection is at 6.6 and I can't figure out why. It should be 6.0 IIRC. It is well noted as a 5.4 DD if you have the 5 point captain skill for Klingon Cloaking.

I have the right camo. I have the right option selected in the final option slot.

What am I missing?

Speaking of which, when someone fires their guns, aren't they supposed to become visible for 20 seconds? I've had several games tonight where I was getting my ass shot off from empty space. I could see the shells 'appear', but never where they were shot from. Some of them there was no smoke anywhere.

when you fire the guns, it increases your detection range. EG on the Zao, with all of the right skills, it's something like 15.6 when firing. Hence invisifire :)

selecting them even without the skill still increases your accuracy. haven't really gotten to test how much better secondaries are, the only thing that got within 8km of my amagi tonight got insta popped.. but from watching other BB's while i was dead in my DD matches they seem pretty damn strong now.

also tonight had a weird bug with my myoko, it was not clearing the 2x bonus even though i won 5 games with it and it was still giving me the 2x bonus for each win.

from what i can tell based on the "slow motion" feel and my accuracy, it feels like they screwed with the FoV.. ship's i'd normally aim miles ahead of i'm now aiming 1/3 of the distance ahead of them. and DD's at 15km look like they're 2km away when zoomed in.. feels really weird now.

also how the hell do i fix the in match UI, the text is friggin gigantic.. i know i did it during CBT but i can't remember how to do it now.

I forgot about the secondary upgrades and took my Atlanta within 4k of a Izumo by sneaking around the bend of an island. It was a slaughter. I got my first set of torps off and was dead before I made it half way through my turn.

I know the feeling brother. DD detection ranges seem to be off, the water has been replaced with 10w40, the overall feel is slower, and I swear I think RNG has been applied to torpedoes.
 
Everything feels off. Of all the updates, this one feels weird. ships feel like they move differently and the BFT nerf is very noticeable.
Finally got around to using my project R boat...so much fun. every game is over 100k damage.

Nice to see the hacks seem to be toast so far too.

Dont know how long WG can keep these broken, but every day they are busted is a good day to play.
 
The Atlanta can be a very fun ship to play. It's a great AA escort, a great DD killer, and it's one hell of a area denial tool in a support role at caps. I like working as a team with a DD, and equipping hydro acoustic search.

It would be a wild ship if it had smoke.

Yeah I always start by supporting the DDs and sometimes get free smoke.

I noticed my best games are usually staying around caps a bit, trying to get 1v1 fights. If I am fighting a blob I try to invisible fire from behind an island or just weave and bob like nuts.

My best game was 6 kills. I stayed with a BB half way to the enemy cap, killing an Atlanta, NY, DD, turned around and saved my cap from a DD and Yorck (which this thing shreds with AP btw). Then it came down to 30 seconds left, a nagato in the enemy cap 12km away with 4k health. I only had a sliver of health too... I was trying to hit a turning Nagato with my shitty 13s flight times while a cruiser was firing at my broadside. I killed the BB with three seconds left and the game ended right before a barrage of fire hit me. That had to be my craziest match. Ended up with around 2200 base XP and 1254 shots (around 260 landed).

That had to be the most intense fight I've had. I think I do pretty well since I've played dd gun boats a lot. I couldn't imagine playing this boat as a new player... One time I had to stay broadside and a Kongo dropped half my health, then a Cleveland got a 9k slavo. Saved the cap from a dd but this boat is the least forgiving I've seen!

Finally got my Tirpitz. Been trying to get this boat since I started(missed when it went on sale).
 
I got the nurnberg. I liked the part where I did 2 kills, 8 cits and 49k damage with the clock showing 15:20 left, so a bit over 4 minutes. (of course that was due mainly to the stupidity of a furutaka and omaha letting me get to their off gun side). I didn't so much like the part where I took 4 hits for 24k damage, even while angled. Only took 10 hits total before I was sunk.
