Need to drive 9 displays? Matrox C900 is the card for you!

And it does it on a single expansion slot form factor. Pretty impressive.

I wonder if you can use one to take the output from a gaming GPU and expand it to 9 monitors?

Matrox still alive and kicking? Wow, blast from the past :)

Very possible if you feed the gaming signal into an HD capture card.

Though I dunno if you'd run into PCIe bandwidth issues since you'd triple the throughput...

Wonder how much this will cost. considering nvs 810 is like 500-600 on ebay. One thing about this matrox is that it doesn't have 4K resolution support since it's only HDMI 1.4 . So for most of us this card is no good.

If I have to pay using my money, I would rather get two nvs 510 which allow true 8 4K 60hz output (nvs 810 only support 8 output at 4K @30hz or 4 output at 60hz). Also nvs 510 and 810 are dx11+ with mDP 1.2.

So the market for C900 is very limited.

That's kinda neat.
I knew they were still around, but 9 screens off 1 sff is amazing.

Obviously it's a productivity card -- don't expect to do CAD or gaming on it.

I wonder if you could use it in conjunction with one of those pure compute cards?
