Love the fluidity of the combat in this game, that Tamer video was pretty slick.

How does trading work? Is it the old trade system? Or is it a mail system? Or is it, you got the item, you throw it away or keep it?
There is no trade system.
Outside of the ingame auction house.
That's lame.. I'm gonna hazard a guess that there is probably a guild storage that you can use for "trading" though.
I preferred the green green one.
Thank you, got one.
32 bucks?! I
Didn't have any issues logging in. Testing out Valyrie at the moment. Not too bad if you ask me.
I don't really like that armour piece much. Kinda lacks protection...
Yeah they definitely need change those prices or at least I will not buy stuff.Yeah i am hoping they listen to rage in the forums, and drop it down to around $10-12 for a costume, or $3 per pet. At those prices i know i would spend money in the cash shop.
At the current ones tho they wont see a dime from me. Clothes are not worth that much to me.
Well, after playing a few hours in CBT1 and now in CBT2, I just don't like the game. It's has nice graphics, but that seems to be about it. There's horrible pop-in, some of the worst I've ever seen. Everything RPG wise just feels generic and boring. And I can't stand the stupid black cloud and it's annoying sound effects. Seems like 80% or more of the effort went into character creation and graphics. I'll give a game a few hours, but If it can't interest me in that amount of time, it probably never will. And before people claim "well it's just a beta", I also played The Division beta and fucking loved it. It proved itself to me in the hours I gave it, even being a beta. BDO, however, did not.
Maybe they'll pull a rabbit out of their hat at release and this game will somehow become great, but I'm starting to think the naysayers were right. This game was meant to be pretty, grindy, and a way to sell expensive stuff in the cash shop. And expensive it is. As it stands now, there's no way I'd invest any time into this game when FFXIV is a FAR superior game. And yes, it's not a "fair" comparison since FFXIV has been around a while. But FFXIV ARR, not the original 1.0 atrocity, was way more engaging on release and just a better game. And we are pretty close to release with BDO. There's not gonna be much else changing. And to me that's a bad thing, since I don't like the game in it's current form at all.
Hopefully they prove me wrong, but I'm guessing this game is gonna be a big disappointment and that this thread is gonna get pretty ugly after release.
That's a big durn cat!
I definitely prefer birds to fat cats. xD
That little black cloud pisses me off. Extremely annoying.Well, after playing a few hours in CBT1 and now in CBT2, I just don't like the game. It's has nice graphics, but that seems to be about it. Does the game seem really really dark to anyone? Like even during the day, it's like the blacks are crushed and it's just no sense of light shadows vs dark shadows, just "completely black."
The stock contrast setting is +20% which causes that. Also by default it uses super vibrant post-process filter (that I obviously disabled). I'm pretty sure that I'll reduce contrast to 0% too (edit: done). I think that they are trying to make it look on really crappy washed out TN screens but at least on my IPS display everything is way too vibrant and contrast is too high.Does the game seem really really dark to anyone?
