Anyone else planning on getting this for the PS4 or PC? Luckily, the version doesn't matter as it's a cross-play game. It works amazingly well, too. In all of the betas, I didn't notice any difference in playing one vs. the other at all.

Is Oni in this game? If yes, I will have to buy on PC since I like to play with a keyboard. I hope it is cross buy though but capcom are crooks. I might pre order it since I get a free t shirt if I do.

Crossplay? I didn't know about this. You just got my interests up. I'd be getting the PC version.

Go ahead, I'll destroy you and your keyboard :D

I've preordered it on PS4, based on the beta it looks great and feels great. More of a Street Fighter 3 feel than Street Fighter 4 had. Faster and a bit more fluid. It does have cross-play, which I'm fairly certain is the only reason it's not available on Xbox One.

There are some decent keyboard players out there, but they're few and far between. Then again, there were only a few good pad players until roughly 7 years ago. There's no inherent reason you can't win that way - so maybe the PC release will unleash some keyboard killers :)

I'm just using an Xbox One pad on the PC, personally.

So far, I like the game. It's more deliberate and close-ranged than SF4 was, which works for me. Even if I lose, I'd rather be beaten down than ranged out. Based on what we've seen so far, it seems to be a lot less over the top than SF4 was. Damage is high, though. Then again - SF4 was called "basic" when it first came out, too. That game ended up getting nuts with a little time.

I was all in, even looking at dropping coin on a TE2 stick. Then B&M stores dropped the game early. Now reports are coming out that it is launching with just online vs and 2vs2. I KNOW what SF is about I played every iteration since the very first one in high school. $60 bucks for this though? I generally like beating up on the PC in story mode with every character and picking 1 or 2 to learn now I might hold off a few until the rest of the game drops via DLC. This is kind of ridiculous IMO, is it launching with atleast training mode?......and I still pre-ordered the game and the fight stick so they win :p

Bought the game on ps4 because I can use my ps3 stick as well as ps4.

Haven't gotten a chance to play the retail version yet, but I've been maining Necalli in beta.

Amazon fail...preordered the game awhile ago has not shipped at all. Stuck in limbo. Cancelled the order attempted to purchase on PSN tells me I'm not eligible to purchase this content. Looks like I'll do gamestop on the way home. This is a whole lot of work considering I can't even play my main yet (Blanka)

I'll actually be pretty surprised if Blanka makes the cast this time around. The hardcores tend to hate him, they're moving away from charge characters, and he's definitely not coming as part of the first year's DLC characters. If he does show up, he probably won't be the Blanka of old. We might eventually see the roster get to the size of Ultra SF4, but that'll take years.
I'm not even sure Capcom likes that character style anymore. They have yet to add another Blanka or Honda archetype character after all of these years. Ono jokes that he likes Blanka, but I kinda doubt it.

Too bad I love playing shenanigans with him. Played him since SFII

Are you seriously kidding me? No single player at all? WTFFFFF?

There is but not really. There is a story mode BUT it's incredibly barebones and feels like it was translated from Japanese directly into english in some parts. Its ok but kind of meh.
There will be a big update in June or July from what I'm reading. It sounds like they will be taking a page from the MK reboot instead of traditional pick one character play to the end.

Ok I picked up the Season Pass to get the other characters. How do I access them? I don't see them on the roster. I need to find a new main I was doing decent with Juri in SF4. I'm assuming they will go live when the store opens?

The additional characters like Alex and Juri will be trickled out throughout the next 12 months. Alex is due first - supposedly in March. I think Juri was the last one, but I could be wrong about that.
They've been pretty unclear exactly what's needed to get them. Some early reports said you could unlock literally everything with in-game currency, but (like story mode) it doesn't seem like Capcom likes to clarify much.

spent all last night with can't logon to server errors. :( How is it looking today?

I finally started being able to login at around 9PM (Mountain) last night. That's on the PC version, although 4 of my 6 opponents were on the PS4.
I popped on for one match before I left for work this morning and it was fine, too.
There were a few hours where I was technically logged in yesterday afternoon, but it wasn't 100% functional. I wasn't getting any points/achievements or matches in spite of supposedly being logged in.

I've got the MadCatz stick. You're saying I can use it of SF5? I remember reading sometime back devs could program compatibility with the old sticks, but it wasn't a given. One of those purchases that I barely ever used. Just a fighting game fan in the old days, and got a little over zealous when the new MK a few years ago was good. Bought SF4 etc.

Yup! If you have a PS3 stick, all you will need to do for SF V is to have your Dualshock controller on. To enable your legacy joystick, open the game and go to settings --> other settings ---> authorize legacy controller. Boom. That's it, the joystick will work for as long as the dual shock controller is on. Kind of a backwards method but at least it works.

Out of curiosity, for the PS4 people - how often do you pull PC opponents in online play? Via Steam I'd say 70% of my opponents have been on PS4.
