Hello I'm having very annoying WiFi issues with my 2015 Macbook pro. It seems the WiFi just becomes stagnate and doesn't work forcing me to turn WiFi OFF and then back ON and it starts to work again but the problem will happen again. It is really bugging me and I am thinking of selling my MacBook for this reason. I've had it for about 6 months and the issue has always been there despite updating OS Yosemite had it and so does EL Captain. It's not my WiFi no other device in my house does it. Example of how annoying it is, earlier I was watching Twitch and the stream went to buffering and I left full screen and opened a new tab and nothing worked no pages would load my wifi was essentially off until I turned it off and on again in my menu bar. I really hate this does anyone else know what could help me.

Does this happen everywhere you use the MBP or just at your home?

Also, as stupid as this sounds, it's crazy easy to forget on a Macbook

Make sure you've done a hard power off / reboot.

yeah, amazing how much that improves performance after a few days/weeks of just going to sleep mode.

Some routers like TP-Link require firmware updates for the MBP signal drop issue, which I have experienced even if every other device I had was fine.

Interestingly, after the firmware update my MBP became the fastest wireless device I have.

Are you using a VPN client or any other proxy to connect to the wifi?

I second the hard power off/reboot option. I am running Mavericks and I'd say after about 2 weeks of just wake/sleep/repeat usage, I have to power off and restart the laptop to resolve some lingering WiFi issues. However, I do use a VPN solution to encrypt my traffic so I'm sure that's a factor too at times.

BTW, What kind of router are you using?

Maybe a bad WiFi module? Call apple or take it in to a store. Hardware does go bad . . . Just selling it so the next guy has to deal with it is not right.

If it's a 2015 it's most likely under warranty. Take it to an Apple Store, explain the situation, and if they have wifi, hook up to their wifi (many Apple Stores have public wifi). If they see a problem they can replace the module. It's not particularly hard, if they have a matching module they could even do the replacement while you wait.
