Look what I've found today when browsing one of shops:

I think this one wasn't announced yet.

Nice...

Now it's just a matter of finding someone that would eventually stock it....

EDIT: Here is hoping that they will use the same panel as BL3201PH

Following. I will probably go 27" 2560x1440 for now with a single 980TI though.

I am missing something here? Aside from the Gsync why does it advertise ULMB support with it being only a 60Hz display.

They did the same thing with the X34. I guess Acer likes to assume that if it has gsync then it just HAS to have ULMB too.

Oh wait this is a 4K monitor, I thought it was a 1440p. Yes we need more 4K units with Gsync, preferably made by BenQ. Acer is junk, I don't trust there build quality nor QC control. ULMB @60Hz is a joke.

It probably says ULMB because it'll also do 1080p @ 120hz. If you can do 4k at 60hz, you can do 1080p at 120hz.

Hopefully that's an actual feature.

But it would ultimately depend on how 1080p looks on it.

I am interested. I want to see a revoew of ulmb at 60 hz. I am interested at how much better it is

++ the only game I really care about for ULMB is Quake Live and I'll play that at 1080p120 upscaled any day :D

i am wondering how 60hz looks for like RTS. Total War or any RTS looks like shit at 60 HZ on an LCD with any kind of movement. When units march it goes complete blur. any HZ without a flicker looks like crap even with slow movements.

Yeah but aren't most RTS engines locked at a certain framerate or a multiple of a framerate? As far as blur goes I think that's a ghosting/response time issue which OLED can correct.

nope.

unless you got a GPU/Screen/Cable that can push 1000 hz at 1000 FPS

Correction a 600Hz screen at 600 FPS would beat a CRT.

So let me know when we have a GPU and cable that can push that lol at 4K or better yet at 8K :D

If they had 120Hz at 1080p we really need to convince Asus to give us an integer scaling mode.

CRTs had too many problems. Weight, size, and obnoxious heterodyne whine and vertical line flickering. Its basically only something you'd put up with if you are a competitive counterstrike player lol.

Or you hate the atrocious blur that everything has.

Look at those articles.

60 hz looks like shit

120 hz still looks like shit

120 hz ULMB Looks close to CRT but still not the same. (This looks much better then the ASUS IPS coming out but the ASUS is still night and day better then 120 hz)

OLED has the same issue so yes these screen technologies suck massive fucking testicles! (without ULMB aka flicker)

This is why I wonder how this 4K screen will work. Can we get 4ms response? I am very interested.

Here is the ASUS ULMB

ULMB is most likely a mistake in specification from shop staff.

i hope not....thats the only real good thing out of gsync. Sure no tearing is great but fuck! I hate that blur. Look how horrible that looks compared to ULMB. Now if we could only get Gsync and ULMB together :/

There really is no technical reason that a monitor manufacturer couldn't make a dynamically strobing backlight that strobed based on the framerate you were getting.

I thlnk benq made a 240 hz monitor that did that or some brand did that. I will love the day when OLED monitors come out with flicker :D

Any word when this is coming out?
i'll totally buy it right now

I imagine gsync will support DP 1.3 once nvidia release a card that has it, so after pascal is released.

after or for pascal? I would assume pascal would have DP 1.3. I honestly thought the 980TI was going to have it. The standards been out for a while now

mr google found the reddit thread for me. sadly i think this was just some random person that bought it. No real talk to ULMB or gsync (other than it has it) - don't even know the specs of his system (like what is the point without SLI or crossfire).
I'm want it for 4k and gsync/ulmb.. but i have 4 titan x. But i wonder if at a lower rez it has a higher refresh rate.

i don't see ULMB on the spec page (unless i missed it)

UPDATE: just saw that notice that dell is going to have a 120hz 4k OLED screen.. so this one is dead to me.. :)

some site mentioned it and most peoplee think it was an error thats why i want confirmation. I dont give a shit about it unless it has ULMB. Even ULMB at 60 hz would be a massive improvement in motion blur. :/

hrmm.. i ordered one. it will hold me over till the dell oled comes out.

is that a real thing?

yeah, at the end of march dell is coming out with a 32" OLED screen for $4999.

I'm going to wait a few month to see if there are any show stopper bugs (which sometimes happens with dell monitors) yeah! i'm looking @ you titled 4k dell screens (and you too sharp!) ... both of which i own >.<. ugh..

You speak the bull poopy.
Using crt since 1990's until 2015. Never had these issues you speak of on a properly set up display. Size? People using 27" and 34" 21:9 displays and 55" tvs for monitors today  And If you can't lift 40-100 lbs once in a blue moon :|

It's not going to have ULMB, NVIDIA only enable that at 85/100/120Hz.

Well we know it's not going to support G-Sync, probably won't support Adaptive-Sync, and likely won't have any blur reduction features.
So it's going to be a very expensive panel that doesn't handle motion that well.
Not worth it unless you have another $5000 to buy a gen 2 monitor in 12 months too.
