ASUS MG279Q Black 27" 144 Hz 4ms 2560X1440 LED IPS Panel, Freesync - $469

I've had this monitor for awhile now and just bit on this.

Absolutely love mine, perfect Anti Glare coating for me, much better then the PG278 Swift I had originally.

BTW, doz your link doesn't work anymore either, only was I was able to find it was going directly to flash.newegg.com

I would highly advise NOT buying this monitor as Asus QC has hit rock-bottom.
Went through 4 RMA's as each one died with 1-2 months of each other.

I've had this monitor for about 4 months now and absolutely love it. Nothing wrong with this monitor at all. Guru3d just came out with a review and they love it. To each there own.

Really great price. Not sure about Newegg's return policy though. If only this price is available on Amazon.

After thinking about this for a few days, I just ordered this. What did I get myself into. Hopefully the QC gods are on my side.

And for the hell of it, I also subscribe to Newegg Premiere for 1 year for $10. Student Newegg Premier Promo $30 - $20 3 month trial promo code = $10. Too bad my university is not eligible for the free year of Premiere.

Now on to my quest to find a cheap AMD 290/390 Freesync capable card.

I'm happy with my purchase so far. :D Ordered it on Thursday and it arrived yesterday. My screen is pixel perfect out of the box and the glow that everyone complains about is not bad for me at normal viewing angles. When viewing from the side it gets a little worse, but I don't ever plan to be in that position. My graphics cards aren't freesync compatible, so no comments on that yet. Just hoping there's no problems like mtbush stated where theirs died after 1-2 months.

When it arrived I was scared that they were pawning off some open box units in this sale because the tape that seals the top flap of the box was broken. Everything inside the box was packaged like new, like the plastic the cables are packed in are unbroken, and the monitor was flawless, so I'm sure it was nothing.

Edit: Monitor is OOS now.

Great price on this. Have been using one since just after release (re-release after they pulled it from the market) Worth noting the Freesync range on this is "35-90", but that seems to be the sweet spot for most ppl. It's a fantastic monitor. Mine is immaculate, no issues. Think i paid near $600 and it was well worth it.

Hi guys, here is what mine looks like at low brightness around 28 brightness and 80 contrast.

Is quite distracting in some scenes. Thinking about RMA but at the same time don't have too much hope/really don't feel like going through many RMAs.

(picture not overexposed and although not exactly, show close to what it's like IRL)

Feel free to share your samples, I'm doing this out of interest just to see what other people have.

It's a known issue with the IPS 144Hz gaming panels, among numerous other QC issues. Some people go through 3 or 4 RMAs before they find one that is "acceptable".
