20% game preorders (all systems) w/ amazon prime

only thing tempting me is "the division" -- but damn risking preordering what could be a pile of crap.

8.25 a month for prime effectively -- yeah I need to just go for it, if I order *one* thing a month I break even easily. not counting the extra shit they give you.

Not bad, finally a worthy alternative to Gamer's Club Unlocked for boxed retail purchased games instead of digital key discounters like GMG.

Still not quite as good as GCU however, when a game has a $10 preorder point bonus and the 20% off.

they really are pushing Prime hard over the past few months- exclusive Prime prices, exclusive Prime lightning deals, Prime add-on subscription services like Showtime, Starz and now this...

Amazon has some wonky stuff going on here. I did one click order through the app and it didn't apply the discount, Dark Soul 3 just showed up as a completed order for $59.99. Cancelled that order, went to the website, added the item to my cart, and then the discount shows up.

...ever slower standard shipping to ensure that it takes a week or so for an order to get to you without prime.

...Street Fighter V not sold physical for PC, FARK! (only one I wanted to get)

Mirror's Edge, Overwatch and Battleborn all eligible. All games in my wait and see category.

While I'm not surprised, I wish this included digital. All of my consoles are fully digital, and I intend to keep it that way.

Cancelled my blizzard order for Overwatch and bought via Amazon. Bad thing is I now had to pay tax, ie guess with digital you don't.

The collectors edition was also showing as %20 off. And while very tempting, it was a non issue as they have no more to sell, but cool for those people that did pre order and are now gonna save $26

Amazon has a different philosophy then most other companies. Places like Wal-Mart or even Apple & Microsoft want to dominate your life within the particular segment that they cater to. So Wal-Mart wants all your shopping needs to go through them, but for other stuff outside that, you are on your own.

Amazon, wants your entire life to go through them. And they are pushing very hard to do that. I even fully expect Amazon to enter the search engine market, maybe even by 2020. Now Amazon has had limited success in this goal because most people are already loyal to other brands in other segments...but I don't think that people realize what Amazon is trying to do in the grand scheme of things.

I just got notified it applied the 20% off to my Doom pre-order as well, and I already had a $10 off cyber monday coupon applied too. :D

Heheh, I was hoping it included digital...sadly no. I ordered like 20 things no rush shipping this month....damn....boxes everywhere!

No pre-orders, boys and girls. They are just trying to fool you.

Never forget when you pre-ordered battlefront.

Never forget when you pre-ordered Arkham Knight.

Never forget when you pre-ordered Halo MCC.

How can you tell the 20% has been applied? My Street Fighter invoice still has the original amounts.

You can talk to Amazon CS and they'll sort it out for you. This 20% off thing is supposed to be retroactively applied to prior pre-orders.

Otherwise, cancel it and re-order. It'll show up in the Checkout page but not in your Cart.
