Corsair®, a world leader in enthusiast PC hardware and components, today announced the new Corsair Carbide 400Q and Carbide 400C high-performance PC cases. The Carbide 400Q and Carbide 400C are engineered to pack performance and expandability into beautifully compact mid-tower case designs. The 400C puts your PC’s components on display through a stunning full size windowed side panel, while the 400Q features an interior lined with sound-damping material to minimize noise. In both the 400Q and 400C, Direct Airflow technology ensures unimpeded flow of cool air to your PC’s hottest components.

I was looking at that case. I really like it the looks of it. I have to get a smaller case for the rig and it is between this and the NZXT S340.

Looks like a really nice case. Could make for a really nice setup with a 240/280/360mm radiator mounted on the front to cool the cpu and a 120/140mm radiator mounted on the rear to cool the gpu. I'm completely fine with the limited 2.5"/3.5" drive bays, I've never needed as many as they sometimes like to put in enthusiast-level cases anyway. I'm not sure I'm ready to ditch the optical drive though. If I were to get a case from this line, I'd probably go with the 600Q instead.

Looks nice, and a nice alternative to the flipped 600.

But I'd really love to see them update the Carbide 540 Air (or even make an upscale/better materials Obsidian version of it). After going dual chamber, I don't want to go back to single chamber cases, nor do I really want to pay Caselabs prices.

My 540 Air is still going strong and looking great, but it's a water cooled Ivy Bridge/Maximus Extreme V/780ti SLI build and I'm getting the two year itch, so it's about time to upgrade the whole rig.

I don't get to why this looks like a nice case? It's a square black box. I mean if that's what you're going for then I guess yeah it looks nice.

It blends in. Important when you have a wife unit.

:D

Because not everyone is into the lights, colors, random shapes, etc. these days.

If there are people still into that, that's cool I guess. Personally I prefer my computer a little more "grown man with other priorities" than "fast & furious look at me" now. And yes, things can look nice while being subdued, without having to be a beige tower from 1993.

this was my case for a number of years. I love the cube style look.
this was also the most expensive case I ever bought, $250.

It's what's on the inside that counts :)

These are nice looking from Corsair, and it is nice to see the trend move towards quiet and sleek looking rather than gaudy multicolor LED look at me rigs.
