This project came to life out of boredom and spare parts.

It's not the fastest or prettiest, but it is functional and more portable than my main rig.

The hardware includes:

Motherboard: Asus P6T
CPU: Intel I7 920 overclocked to 3.3
RAM: 6 gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600
GPUs: 1x Powercolor R9 270x and 1x MSI R9 270 in crossfire.
Drives: 1x LiteOn 120 gb SSD and 1x Toshiba 2 tb drive
PSU: EVGA NEX 750
Monitor: Dell E2311H monted to the side of the case using a cut up Dell monitor stand.
Case: Some old ass ATX case that needed some cutting.
Fans: 5 random 120mm fans that have been scavenged from from soon to be recycled Dell workstations. They have been 5 volt modded to keep them quiet.

Anyway, on to the pics!

Decided to update this thread. The lanrig has changed a little. Upgraded to a GTX970, 12gb of RAM and a Corsair AIO cooler. Added some velcro for the headset and controller.

Seeing this just reminded me that I still have a Chieftec case that is of a similar design in my basement.

How well does it balance? I'd be afraid of the monitor pulling it down.
