“Star Wars” Heading For Box Office Record Of $215 Million-Plus In US

hopefully Force Awakens overtakes Avatar for the all time Domestic and International box office records...Avatar is so over-rated and James Cameron's worst movie by far and doesn't deserve the top spot

The original series were the first to really bring it with music and over all presence, multiple worlds, fun and interesting alien types, a crazy plot twist (that was shoe horned in lol) and a seemingly connected universe.

Not only that, but people put a lot in the original movies that didn't exist. I mean how the hell was Boba Fett a big deal before AotC? It was essentially a bit part. I've seen the original movies countless times, but they're not the perfect movies that some remember. Jedi was too long and lost momentum around the time that Vader says, "It's too late for me, son"

That said, Empire is an excellent film and deserves all the praise it gets...but it took me a long time to realize it was better than the first one.

Maybe, but from a technological eye candy POV, it's mind blowing. As I said above, Star Wars wasn't the greatest story in the world either, but it was fun and had a lot of mind blowing special effects.

Truth is that it's probably the best 3D to date, unless the Hobbit in 3D HFR beat it, but that movie was definitely worse than Avatar.

I agree, plus the screen writing and acting were horrible. But God damnit I loved those movies, same with the new one :D

I hope JJ slows the next ones down a bit...
 
Lucas himself tries to be a loony Leftist, so there is a lot of Marxist propaganda in it, but listening to his unscripted talks, he actually knows better.
