Star Wars: Battlefront Reboot

Bought a gtx970 for this and must say I'm pretty disappointed (apart from the eye candy).
I loved BF4 and was hoping this would be the same but with blasters and AT-ATs but the reality is killing me. Any other games you guys recommend for a BF4 fan?

yeah the writing has been on the wall for a couple of weeks now. I won't be buying DLC on account of the low player base. it's a shame because i'm having a lot of fun with the game. apparently i'm in the minority.

for me it will be BF4 until BF5 releases. there's no mp fps game out right now as compelling as BF4, in my opinion.

BF:Hardline lasted a couple of weeks before everyone went back to BF4 and Titanfall lasted a month or three IIRC. I think this is just the general rule for anything EA does that isn't a real Battlefield game.

It's amusing though. To listen to the gamers; BF:Hardline was too much like Battlefield and Battlefront wasn't enough like Battlefield.

Honestly i still love hardline. Very fun and fast paced. My buds and i still play that game during the week, and play bf4 on the weekends.

As far as battlefront, the jury is still out on this game. First of all where the fuck is the spot button? If they would have implemented this, then this would be more tolerable. I hate getting killed by someone by me and i didnt even know he was there. i have to look for lasers and where they are coming from and going to see where the enemies are.

But surprisingly flying is more of a joy in this game compared to any battlefield game. Maybe because im a noob in air combat, but it is very easy to lock on and shoot while flying compared to bf3 and 4. Its actually fun to be in the air. On bf3 and 4 i just stayed on the ground, flying was way too hard to master, either you are an expert at it or you suck.
 
Guys I just starting playing multiplayer ( I live in the USA ) and almost everymap I try to play there is no people playing, I waited 10 minutes to get into a game, Is this how it always is?
 
Took me about 2 seconds to get into a Blast match. I'm in North Carolina. (Southeastern USA)
 
I don't get why people are saying no one is playing. I started playing last week and every time I play the games are full.

I don't think it's cool for people to like a game so most people just talk about what the game doesn't have or should have. It makes people sound more important if they hate on a game and throw a couple of examples out that doesn't mean shit to back up their claim.

I love the game, but there are not a lot of people playing during the evening PST. The player base has dwindled fast.
 
Are you all actually suprised this games player base is already abandoning ship lol?

Same thing happened with Titanfail and Battleflop. It was so obvious that SWBF was going to be a repeat of those failures, but some people just refuse to open their eyes to some hard truths and would rather buy into the hype...hook line and sinker. Might be a fascinating subject for a psychologist or anthropologist to study as a specific form of cognitive dissonance.

The hard truth that the game was destined to fail, keep enjoying the game whilst you still can....there aren't going to be many people playing it in another 4 weeks judging by the rate of decay of online population numbers.

I got 60+ hours of game time for 35$ and counting.. I got no complaints. It could end tomorrow and I would be happy.
 
Ah, the wonderful "I got X hours of entertainment for $Y" argument to justify your personal purchase decisions regardless of how hard a game fails, it was only a matter of time.

I bet all the people who only have time to spend a couple of hours a week gaming and paid full price are going to be absolutely thrilled that the game is virtually dead.

Relying on 3rd party stats from some website to justify your arguments.. Pro..

I'll be playing Battlefront till Overwatch gets released. Money well spent for me.
 
Considering that third party site has been tracking stats of EA games for years, I put more stock in its reliability than your account of anything.
 
A DICE dev posted on the forums a couple of days ago that there is a problem with matchmaking and that they are working on it allegedly. We'll see. As soon as he posted people blasted him/DICE for the lack of information on patch notes and in general. He said that he understood the frustration and that he would relay to the team.
 
One thing that really pissed me off is that they didn't add this new game mode for the rest of the maps. It's only on the jakku map. I was excited for it because I figured we'd get 5 maps with a new game mode but instead they only release it on the new map. Pitiful.
 
Well you get an additional WA and supremacy map.

EA said they are adding new maps for free soon
Turning point will have more maps too.
But Walker assault and supremacy work.

So there is our 5 maps each for those modes at least.

Might as well rack up as much extra credits as you can, cause DLCs including added star cards and weapons coming soon.

I like the game and appreciate the heads up. The thing that's gonna piss me off is as soon as the DLC hits it's going to further fragment the community which is already half shitty. Ugh.

I really wish we can see a detailed list of what we're getting with the season pass.


Also, anyone surprised this is selling at $39.99 already?

Nothing new here. Same as with as far back as bf1942.(and other games) If you want to fully participate in the game and community you get the expansions.

It's not like "dlc" recently causes this issue
 
Id love to get Double XP but im not patient enough to wait 10 minutes to get into a game, then once im in its all Lag and Rubberbanding around.

My experience has been the same. What a waste of time with this shitty lobby system.

DICE is seriously going down the shitter, I don't know if this is by EA's doing or just the nature of things. I have very little hope for the new Mirror's Edge game at this point.
 
There are twice as many people playing as BF4, but they're all on PS4 or XBONE.

After seeing the movie today I really wanna impulse buy this game. I was in the beta. I know what it is.

I just can't decide whether I really wanna blow $40 on it.

The game is fun. I would buy it for the PS4 only for the fact the player population is higher than X1 and PCs combined.

Easier to find matches and such.

That's just me.
