Hey everyone, recently purchased a u3415w, and I was wondering if there is any recommended software out there for screen manage? (dividing monitor into thirds for browser windows, etc). I know LG comes with its own stock software for this kind of thing.

And I did some searching, but didn't find anything terribly helpful...and the latest UW thread is 220 pages long.

See the support section of the Dell web site. Dell has software for download that is near identical to the LG software.

am I missing this? I don't see anything resembling what you are mentioning.

check that. Found it, it just isn't listed for the 3415. Weird. Downloaded and working, though.

For those looking for it that find this thread, just google Dell Display Manager. It will auto-update to the latest version. Is currently working on Windows 10 64 bit for me.

Actually, they both do the same. I didn't update on the dell display management last night because my Logitech keyboard died (nooooooo).
Ddm does the same thing. Would love to find software that makes the UW behave like two monitors.

Really, I'd love something that lets me run software "full screen" but still leave part of the monitor available for use in other windows.

I'm not sure of all the features you're looking for, but this allows you to set up regions of different sizes on the screen and then maximize apps to those regions: https://maxto.net/

OK... now that I know exactly what you want I think that DisplayFusion is what you're looking for. You'll need a Pro version though.

PS windock does "the same thing" as Dell software, only better. Much better. But that's only my opinion.
