Bing - Because it's not Google.
Best reason in the world to use it.

I hear that Bing outside of the US isn't that good. I've been using it as my main search engine for years now and to me it works just as well as Google overall. The integration with Cortana in 10 I'm using all of the time now. I probably type out around only around a third of my searches when I'm in an surrounding that allows for voice input.

I use it for the rewards. Because of Bing I normally get myself about $5 to add to my Xbox account per month. Sure that is only $60 a year but that is $60 more that is a few games a year and is more than I get from any other engine.

I used to use Bing a lot and still do sometimes out of habit, but I never signed up for their rewards thingy. The search results are, like heatlesssun says, as good as the stuff Google returns, but lately with Microsoft monetizing a bit more and cloudifying everything for obvious analytics reasons, I'm just putting up with lame duckduckgo results for the times when I need to find something which isn't that often really. All I've got to say is that it sucks that searchwithkevin.com isn't working anymore because it's was fun to compete for the daily K-fed autographed posters and stuff.

Forget to mention that. Yeah, it's not a lot of money but it's still free money that can be used for a lot different things. I usually use them in the Windows Store for apps. Have $10 bucks now I need to redeem.

I'm pretty sure that every time I launch a program on my computer by hitting the windows key and typing the first few letters of its name, my computer is nice enough to run a bing search on it.

I'd be absolutely not surprised if that were the case so Microsoft could help pad it's search percentage numbers. :D

You heard correct about Bing being US centric. It not only disregards your location, but most of the time it seems to spew information that could only be relevant for someone over the Atlantic. I can only assume they don't want our traffic.

???

Microsoft can't really pretend to be the defender of privacy any more. They're worse than Google now.

I'd they at least used to be better about privacy. Maybe they are still just by virtue of Google probably being more competent in retrieving your data. Furthermore, better privacy is also not putting all your eggs in one basket.

But, as far as getting things done, or even power gaming, Google wins. But for leisure nonsense, Bing does seem about an equal.

I use Bing for technical searches all of the time with great results. The other day I was looking for a solution to get SQL Server Management Studio 2014 to work better on a high DPI screen. So I said "Hey Cortana, SQL Server Management Studio high DPI" and the very first result was exactly what I was looking for.
