The handful of you that actually use Google+ (or know someone that does) will be interested in this announcement.

Today, we’re starting to introduce a fully redesigned Google+ that puts Communities and Collections front and center. Now focused around interests, the new Google+ is much simpler. And it’s more mobile-friendly—we’ve rebuilt it across web, Android and iOS so that you’ll have a fast and consistent experience whether you are on a big screen or small one.

Huh...I think this is the first time I went to my Google+ in months. Just to see what was different, but I forgot what it used to look like, so I closed it. I will be going back to ignoring it.

I look at Google+ as a personalize newpaper. Like, all my interests are collected in a massive easy to read through scroll.

Google - the creeps everyone thought MS would turn out to be

I actually use it a lot, I can put a bunch of crap I need to see and keep updated in one easy spot. I also enjoy a pc modd group, a woodworking group and a photography group to name a few. Sort of like a facebook with out a bunch of crap I dont want or need.

I can't be bothered to care until they give me the ability to remove it completely from my YouTube account.

I do like Google+ for various technical.hobby groups. It's like an educated Facebook.

It's so sad that there are people out there who have to rely on a website for interaction with other people instead of being able to find that interaction in person. I think that's why social networking is so successful, it's for people who would otherwise never go out and meet someone, but still feel the weird need for companionship from all those losers in the world who are basically the only ones out there. :(

Too bad they didn't bring back the old Nearby style, that was wonderful for meeting people.

yup me to. As a "social network" portal... meh but then again I dont use facebook.
As a place to get info or points of discussion its quite good.

If you think of it like a FB competitor and try to use it as a FB competitor you will be disappointed.

Hopefully that wasn't a personal attack.

Social Media is great for organizing meetups. Judging by your disdain, it sounds like you avoid Social Media just as bad as someone who avoids human interaction.

I love the posts from NASA's Google+ account. That's about the only useful thing I've found on there so far. The number of +1's the account receives is really low I've recently noticed.
