Did you do the minuteman missions yet? Without spoiling anything, the area invovled in the Old Guns mission is the neatest I've seen.
I don't know what it is, but this felt similar to Skyrim to me, as in the world felt lifeless. I know the point of Fallout is to have a dead environment, but damn I just had no motivation to go out and explore. Alot of the quests seemed to be "Go here, kill ghouls" or "Go here and find artifacts/documents", with the worst being those stupid "Go here, kill raiders and establish an outpost". Main quest was OK, but the ending was about as "meh" as it can get. Maybe I was just too excited for this and ultimately disappointed, I enjoyed FONV and FO3 more.
It's not really BS, is the point.
Everything about this game is terrible for someone with OCD. I started over again and now I can't decide whether I even want to use a last name for my character.
HAHAHA!
I recently bought a Thrustmaster warthog hotas. (it's got enough metal to bludgeon someone to death and it would still be intact and functional)
Had to DOWNLOAD unprovided drivers
Ok, I fixed my stuttering issue finally.
If you are playing and getting decent framerates (IE 45+ average) but you still keep getting a "stutter" like effect when you move around in some areas I highly suggest you try this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3s6ile/disable_vsync_for_zero_input_lag_and_limit_fps/
Also make sure you set the fallout4pref ini to "read only" , otherwise it will revert back if you change any other options through the fallout 4 launcher.
Using this method I do not have a stutter anymore, vsync is off and also I set it to off my nvidia control panel. Also running in borderless window which (IIRC) stops screen tearing if you have sync off (I don't get any screen tearing with it so eh).
So summary:
Unlock vsync via the ini tweak and set to read only
Use MSI afterburner and Rivatuner to limit fps to 60 (anything higher messes up the speed of the game)
Make sure vsync is off in nvidia control panel
Run in borderless windowed
Interesting. I'm on an old Sabertooth X58 board, legacy BIOS, and my GTX 970 was plug 'n play. Glad I didn't have any issues, because I was completely unaware of this issue.
I had to explicitly add the FO4 executable to ALLOW both INBOUND and OUTBOUND connections in the Windows firewall before the Pipboy app (Android) would work. Note that this requires 2 rules to be created, one for inbound, one for outbound.
So this game is broken for those of us who want to play at 144 FPS on our 144Hz monitors? If they couldn't fix the high FPS physics anomalies that ruined Skyrim, a game from four years ago, I won't bother buying it. Ridiculous.
The settlement UI could use a Sim-builder type of overhaul, like SimCity etc. Maybe a topdown view where you click-and-drag. Running around on foot and clicking settlers, placing things, etc, is really tedious. You can definitely see where the game has been console-ified.

Without them, their may not have been enough money to create a crafting system at all.
Its a Bethesda game and the fact that they still support open mods, and decent DLC, will make up for most of the game issues.
So what. Why must Minecraft be grafted into every AAA game. They should have put some money into writing.

They're not mandatory aside from the tutorial portions, but I don't think you can get the most powerful equipment if you don't use these features.Do you have to use the builder or modding stuff at all in the game if you don't want to?
I actually REALLY dislike crafting...hate it so much and I don't really care to sit around and play FPS version of shelter.
I think if you keep the in-game Vsync turned on that it can successfully sync the game physics to the framerate is what is being said. I'm guessing that this is why there is such a relatively large performance hit with it turned on.not entirely sure? I have a 144hz asus and haven't had any issues that i know of. i've ran it with 120hz lightboost hack and without it, no issues for me.
maybe i'm missing something?
