Grand Theft Auto V

Anyone else having trouble signing into Rockstar Social? Keeping getting a 1003.50 error.

They are a constant fucking pain in the arse for me.
I'm getting close to downloading a crack.

I cannot play offline at all.

$32.16 on GMG right now. That's even lower than all the greymarket key sellers.

Use coupon code 20PERC-HARVST-SAVING to knock 20% off the sale price = $32.16.

I want to buy this but it not being on my Steam account hurts my soul

Anybody know if Rockstar has plans for San Andreas story expansion or alike? I remember them announcing a possible CJ 1992 SA revisit to fill the gap in the story from GTA SA after the GTA V console release, but no dice since, any ideas?

Last anything they said is no expansions, only additions to GTAO.

So, no.
At least, nothing publicly known anyway...

I reckon they're heads down working on Red Dead 3 rather than spending any time adding more singleplayer content to a 2013 game that already has a staggering amount of singleplayer content.

Started working for me today, these layers of DRM are repugnant....I couldn't play the SP campaign of a game I had paid for because Rockstar's garbage account system was having a hissy fit. I wish these idiot publishers would just stick to steamworks.

been honest I havent played this for weeks.

the 1.0 version of the game was good, had some mods which enhanced the game for me.

Then rockstar started patching every 2-3 days, and the game has big performance issues now which seems related to them adding artificial cpu cycles to mod scripts.

Is the last rockstar game I will buy because I also hate the online DRM where this game does an activation check everytime its launched.

Sounds like GTA IV...ran well for awhile, then they patched it and it ran like shit all of a sudden.

Some halloween update was pushed out.
There is a new Slasher mode, you gotta hide from the Slasher.
And some other stuff. They added a hearse.

So i installed the game after a long break to check out the Slasher mode... and i go into my garage and see i have a couple pimp new rides..

What the...they were in there from the start as soon as you logged in?

On another note, has anyone ever found their R*SC password not working, and then upon resetting it and logging in, their profile language was changed to Russian? Possibly your character renamed? This happened to me, minus the character name, but has apparently happened to others. It's been a few weeks or so since I've last played, but tried to log in last night, and my password was incorrect, even though I know it by heart. Manage to reset it through my e-mail with no issue, but my page profile was now set to Russian language. Changed it back, but found that rather odd. If my account was hijacked, good thing someone didn't bother to change anything around like the e-mail address it was set to.

If I buy this game from Amazon today for $40 (Grand Theft Auto V - PC [Download]), will I also have the option to add a key to Steam, or do I have to use the amazon downloader to play it?

Neither. You will use Rockstar's downloader to get and launch the game. If you want it to launch from Steam, you'll have to add it as a non-Steam title, but it works fine and has full support for the overlay.

It was on Steam sale last week - I finally broke down and bought it for $42. What a beautiful game! Love the versatility of the 1st-person mode and the way the controls handle for KB/Mouse and controller. I've been switching back and forth a lot, haven't decided which to stick with yet. Mostly KB/M but pick up the controller for any serious driving segments.

So far I've mostly just been driving around admiring the map, doing any mandatory missions that came up. Looking forward to really digging into it this coming weekend!

Was tempting but I have other expenses holding me off. Hopefully it will drop a bit more over holiday sales, itching to cruise around the sandbox and do whatever.

I feel stupid for not buying this for $35 during the sale which ended yesterday. I'm guessing it will see that or lower within the next 3 months.

Has anyone besides me here opened up a support ticket with Rockstar about the stuttering issue that Ill Gotten Gains DLC added? They closed my ticket and said they didn't have an ETA for the fix. Seeing as how console gamers have been enjoying the game since 2013 without this issues, it's saddening to know it still hasn't been fixed and how Rockstar won't commit to a timeframe to fix it.

I have only recently immersed myself in GTA V (after finally upgrading to a monitor worthy of playing it on), and I continue to be completely blown away by the staggering fidelity, scope, attention to detail and polish! Even without any mods, the in-game world at max details on a 3440x1440 monitor is just breath taking. It is pretty much the benchmark against which I will now measure all other sand box games.

Its a hell of a lot of fun. I think I logged over 120 hours into it before I decided to take a break. I was actually thinking of starting a new run through over my Christmas vacation.

I spent soooo many hours just driving around and sightseeing. :)

Nothing like barreling down a mountain, in first person, at 150mph on a sports bike in the middle of a thunder storm.

The pit-pat of rain, the roar of the engine, tires on wet dirt, Jefferson Starship blaring in the background. Only flashes of lightning to provide meaningful vision.

Then you hit a fucking cougar and go flipping through the air for 20 seconds screaming before landing teeth first on a fucking boulder and dying instantly.
