Black Friday deals.

The S2716DG uses the same AU Optronics panel that is in the PG278Q, so color is going to be outstanding. Since this is a gaming monitor the narrow viewing angles should not be bothersome unless you want to go Surround/Eyefinity. The fast 165 Hz AHVA panel being used in the PG279Q is still more than twice as slow in response time as the TN in the PG278Q while offering similar color accuracy.

Yeah I know...hell I'm using a TN equipped panel 144 Hz 1080p and I am super satisfied with it. Just wanted to let whomever may care about the type of panel be aware in case they have a preference...

:)

Hit F5 a lot.
Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about doing that, while that might be useful to get it on Black Friday, seeing Fry's selling one for $299.99 kind of has writing on the wall this is going to be the standard price soon.

There's a reason why its the same price everywhere for so long, because it's under MAP pricing, places can not lower the price without fear of Microsoft never shipping items to their store to sell again, so if there's a black friday deal, it's because Microsoft has allowed it to go that low. Miss out on BF, wait until Xmas or after, it'll be that cheap sooner than most think.

I'm glad we got a new 60 inch TV last year and a new i5 laptop this year. I don't need anything that costs a shit load of money this BF.

I'm getting the Xbox one bundle so I can sell my friend my Xbox one for $200 to help him out since he's low on cash

The only thing I'm really looking for is a deal on the rock band 4 complete band kit. I can't justify spending $200-$250 on it when there are a bunch of games coming out this winter that I'm gonna sink a shit load of time into.

HopeI have nothing to do with Black Friday this year just took a Walmart CBL on crowd control lol.
We have Command center Que Lines bathroom break passes quick response team for people who get trampled or pass out. trying to ease crowd control due to cramped spaced kinda hard to do when people just fight over the stuff it doesn't happen for the higher priced items but the lower priced stuff people just mob it.

I saw this statement on pcmonitors.info, but I'm unconvinced. Is there anywhere with evidence of this?

It looks a lot like the LG neo-blade panels. In 2014 LG made statements about working on 144hz TN gaming panels for release in 2015. Could this actually be an LG panel?

Edit - I forgot about the AUO panel in the XG270HU, which has the thin bezel panel. This cannot be the same panel as the PG278Q, but it could be the same as the XG270HU

gimme a blowout deal on 280mm AIO coolers ($79) and i'll buy 2!

I'm definitely in for an Xbox One since my old trusty 360 bit the dust..... it's really hard to justify the expense to 'fix' when it's as old as it is. It's time for something bigger / better / badder :)

Don't you lose access to all your old games if you don't fix it? I guess that only matters if you play the old games.

They have something called " Xbox One Backward Compatibility", it doesn't include all games yet, but my understanding is that the list is growing.

Hmm...thought they weren't doing that...maybe that's the PS4. I'll just stick with my PC games.

I wanna see a decent ps4 bundle, maybe I can finally get to play The Last of Us

If anyone is looking at the PS4 Uncharted bundle, no need to wait for Black Friday. Target currently has it 15% off of $350 via their cartwheel site. That will bring it down to ~$300 right now. You might be able to stack additional coupons, (registry/wishlist/redcard), for more savings as well.

Best Buy has an insignia 40 inch HDTV for $160 now, early sale

If you scored a $20 off code from the visa promo, it would be $140

I may have to buy a TV this year at these prices.

Gonna wait for the toshiba 40" at $149.99.

Got one last year via-best buy website.

You just have to order before it all sells out on the black friday online sale.

Not bad but I'll hold off until I at least see the BF ad scans a week before BF. There are already a couple up at bfads.net

WBAHAHAHAHAHAH its almost thanksgiving!! fuck my life.... I was like black friday? why the hell are they getting released so early.

I really wish we could get away from this Thursday shopping bullshit. IDC if I get the "deal of the year", Ill pay more the next day.

5pm Thursday @ Best Buy? Fuck you. Family, Food, and Football.

Well said.

I'm hoping for a Dell deal on their new Precision 5510 laptops. I'm ready to move on from my rMBP.

While I'll agree in principle, I'm not a big Thanksgiving lover. The idea of what essentially is the same exact meal on one day of the year isn't big. Plus all extended family I do have tend to go to their other halves so basically it's my parents and no offense but fuck that, I see them enough throughout the year :D

As to the football thing, I can agree with that, but the fact the NFL does Thursday football every week it really diminishes from the Thanksgiving football as well.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Dinner with family, watching some football, then a late flight to Vegas for 3 days. This year, we're staying at the Palazzo. Been doing Thanksgiving this way since 2012. :D

Logitech G series KB's will be 50% off in case you missed that 710 sale a few weeks back.

Yeap really nice deal on that KB and probably easier to deal with than Dell (same price), the G502 should also be $40, I think last year they had a nice deal on the 502 for like $55 with a $25 Steam wallet card.

I may try and snag that BB 60" Samsung 4K TV if its avail online, what do you all think the chances are that sells out quickly? I'm with everyone else though about Thanksgiving shopping, f-that, and f standing in line for Black Friday too.

I'm confused on that TV.

It says its 4k, but lists the rez as 2160p ?

Yeah I guess it is 2 competing nomenclature standards causing a bit of confusion. The 2160p is for vertical lines of resolution and progressive scan, a legacy thing from CRT/rear projection where you might see interlaced images on lower end models or to get to higher sizes.

4K is actually the horizontal resolution, I think this was from the film industry and the TV makets liked the buzzword so much it stuck I guess. But its actually not even 4000 lines, its 3840. So in the end you get 3840x2160p, which is an exact 2x2 supersampled 4x1080p matrix, or SUHD.

Anyways having 2nd thoughts on it now, it sounds like it might be a "factory store" cheaper version made in China specifically for Best Buy.

I might be tempted to get that mouse too. I've only had one "gaming" mouse so far.

It's a EC Technology and idk if it's any good. I just noticed the price was $80 so it may be decent but I got it on sale for like $26 http://www.amazon.com/TECHNOLOGY-12000-Programmable-Laser-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00JF2FFR2

I hope theres a PS4 + Fallout 4 + any additional free game for $299 or

Where? I'm looking to pick up a g910 that weekend.

Be aware they will more than likely inflate the price to 179.99 on the day of the sale so it won't be "that" good of a deal, I would be shocked if they halved the price that its at now (149.99).

Also worth noting that Corsair just added a number of refurb RGB listings at retail price which is looking like they'll be running a deal on BF or CM with them.

Thanks. If they halved $180, that would still be a good deal on that keyboard. Anything below $100 and I'll bite immediately. I've been watching prices and had auto-notify alerts up on FW and SD forums for a couple months now. I wouldn't object to a full-sized, backlit Corsair with multimedia keys, but I doubt I'll ever see their RGB, new in box, for $100.
