What would you guys recommend? I have a 10 year Hard member paying with Paypal with an unconfirmed address. Paypal says they've been a member for 11 years but have 0 confirmed payments to sellers. Would you insist on using a confirmed address? Their Paypal account is a Verified Premier account.

I'd be fine with it if they had a lot of good feedback. Though if someone was using PayPal for 11 years with zero payments they may not have a lot of feedback...

No. Paypal is already a bad bet for a seller even under the best of circumstances. Shipping to an unconfirmed address is going from "the buyer is always right" to "the buyer doesn't even have to ask now." If for some reason they can't provide a confirmed address then tell them you'll gladly take a USPS money order instead.

Just no.

If someone had great heat and/or feedback he/she should know better.

I do it on a case by case basis. If its an established member that I feel comfortable with, I have no issues...if it were a new member, probably not

Hi. I'm the person he is posting about. I've done basically fucking everything under the sun I can think of to try to confirm it. It shows as being a confirmed address when I look in PayPal, etc, but now he changed his settings so it keeps telling me to confirm it. I'm basically at my wit's end with this, it did not prove to be an issue with the past two things I've bought from sellers on here. So I really don't know. I have two CC's linked, bank linked, PP has my SSN and everything on file, I use it all the time for eBay sales and stuff too. So fucking weird.

I kind of wish too I was informed before this thread was made instead of after.

Honestly, my paypal is that way too. Ever since they split from eBay it's been unconfirmed

I can also say I am in the same boat. My paypal was with confirmed address in the past. But since I moved, now it shows up as unconfirmed. It is 10 years old paypal address with 280+ heatware.

I don't really know what the circumstances are for having PayPal confirm an address, but I recently switched my home address and it auto-confirmed. I do remember shipping to alternate addresses (e.g. work) and it auto-confirming after like two items being sent there successfully.

I know for fact PayPal is finicky with confirmed addresses, could you maybe ask for a vouch from some other source?

I am a little late to the party but I recently sold Chris (Reanimation_LP) an i5 combo a couple months back and ha zero issues. I also just took a screenshot of the paypal transaction history which shows his address as being verified.

So for whats its worth, I can vouch for him :)

I'm with the other guy. If the buyer has good feedback and has been a member forever with tons of posts, I don't even look at whether it's confirmed or not.

paypal can show unconfirmed address even though you've had TONS of transactions through paypal use the same address. I use paypal all the time and I always use the same address and mine still shows as unconfirmed. Paypal won't even change it.

paypal member since 2002, using the same address since 2012.

We went through with it after exhausting all the issues.

I got the product in on time and am immensely satisfied with his product and his service. His packaging was incredibly well done since he did not have the original box. The watch came wrapped nicely in a micro fiber cloth.

It seems to me after PayPal and eBay split, shit hit the fan. lol
