Damn the reclaimer is way bigger than I though.

damn I just noticed they didnt have the cat or the banu, the ships I wanted to see the most.

Yeah glad to see the Banu in there now. I was considering one of the HULL-X ships but now I see I don't really need 'em.

Sabre concept art from the vault, It kind of reminds me of a cross between a F-117 and that old F-22 Navy variant concept art that had swing wings.

I have to say I think I may upgrade my Super Hornet to it. Now that I plan to use the Warden as the 2 seater platform I'm thinking that the Sabre may bee a good single seat fighter. I think I'll just grab the upgrade and see how this concept turns out. The rumor mill seems to think it's getting fast tracked and we may see it fairly soon,.

I would think it is a fairly soonish release as well since CR pointed out it was to help add competition in AC against the hornet.

Sigh just when i thought i was done spending money, they keep releasing new ships...

Neither has been white or greyboxed yet (AFAIK), and they don't have the holoviewer yet, so its not really possible.

I think the Cat is getting close though.

Keep in mind the Super Hornet is still going to have superior engines and probably over all DOT.

I'm keeping both in my inventory.

I hope so. I think the cat is the ship I'm most interested in.

Have they mentioned any changes with the whole logging out mechanic depending on if your ship is equipped with a bed or not? When I read about it over a year ago, I think I remember they were mentioning the possibility of allowing ships without beds to also save their progress instead of flying back to the nearest dock.

Super Duper Gladius, FTW!

Hornet and Cutlass are free in the PTU VD store to test out the S4 weapons.

Sabre sounds nice, glad i upgraded my gladius into one.

And i bet there are some ghost owners swapping over.

I grew up in the 80s. There were no badass Camaros in the 80s. Only half-ass Camaros. ;)

I keep saying something similar to my friend who boasts he owned a Mustang in the 80s. Strangely he gets miffed at me like I took his manliness, I have to keep reminding him he had none to begin with.

1.3b sounds interesting, I'm liking some of the things they are doing with the PTU, really mixing things up a bit. Some of the top dog pilots are a big miffed at the ballistics changes and the favoring of lasers, but AC is just flat out broken right now, competitively speaking. But other changes like making the missiles a lot more deadly and able to follow you make things like the Gladius and Gladiator stupidly OP again. Other things like flight model changes I actually only got to experience a bit of and they felt nice.

I did enjoy the being able to exit your ship in space while it lasted (ctrl+f), but I understand why it had to be disabled when you find yourself being flung out of your 300i at top speed because the physics grid on 1 seaters isn't exactly working (oh ya, new physics grid is in, just not working to well with the one seaters).

ultimately i hope missiles are super deadly, but also ridiculously expensive in the pu so their use will be limited.

I hope that's not the case because you'll end up encountering people who just use them all the time as a matter of course and/or it'll just feel like a cheap shot when someone uses them.

well you still have flairs and chaff too so you would likely have to use those up before a missile is overly effective, i mean you have the scrubs that never use the decoys but still...

Hoolleee crap, I forgot all about that show haha.

I didn't get to many shows back then, we were only allowed to stay inside if the weather was bad outside. If anyone is wondering 5 feet of snow and anything above 0 was not considered bad weather ;) Good old Minnesota ha

So you can use the buggy to push your ships around in the hangar now.

I don't know if that something new or not, Also they need to enable analog speed control for the buggy, I thought they had that in the past.

I remember when the buggy was first released it would blow up your ships in the hangar if you crashed into it lol.

LOL.

I bet he's on the shorter side, and wore his hair in a flat-top. He did drive a Mustang of that era after all. (Then again, I had an '89 Firebird Formula and loved it. I didn't even have a mullet.)

Just nitpicking here, but if the impact of the cannon imparts that much force on the target, how is there no recoil? The shells don't seem to have much explosive power, if any at all.

It does seem a bit over the top. However you could make them recoiless if they really are shooting for that level of power out of them. It just costs you some ammo weight and maybe some heat.

We might also be seeing the price of them cheating with the scythe physics model a bit.
