In the past a SATA 3Gb/s cable seemed to be just as fast as a 6gb/s cable. Essentially zero performance difference. I am wondering if that is still the case with more modern SSDs? Going to be getting a Crucial MX200 500GB today or tomorrow:

All the SATA slots are 6Gb/s, but I only have a single 6Gb/s cable. Rest are the older red 3Gb/s. Is there any reason to bother getting another SATA 6Gb/s cable for the new MX200? All of the benchmarks I found were with older SSD models circa 2013. Doubt much has changed since then, but I thought I would ask anyways.
I suppose to SATA is hitting its limits regardless and M.2 is the future. Sadly, this motherboard didn't have M.2.
