Just doing a poll to see which size nexus 6p everyone is getting and if people are getting the nexus protect coverage. Also your thoughts on it.

32vs64vs128.... at $50 per increase it just wasn't worth it to me- My photos are uploaded off my phone when I get home via WiFi, and the only content I store locally on my phone are Audible books and podcasts- all my music is streaming, so I just don't see the utility of more storage. I have a 32GB N6 and I've got 7GB free.

I'm honestly on the fence though- a Moto X is fairly comparable, includes a microSD slot AND the deductible is much less for their accidental damage program than Google's... I'm half tempted to cancel my 6P order in favor of the Moto.... plus I kinda dig the wood...

I thought about moto x 2015 but since I already had s6 seemed like a side/downgrade. I went with 64gb w nexus protect so I have piece of mind with an extra year of warranty and then drop protection with decent deductible cost. I figure a screen replacement would probably cost like 175 like it is for nexus from moto so I use protect program it's cheaper and even more yet if you use both accident uses @79 each. The safe/cheap option would be to use a case but I hate cases.

I preordered a 64GB Aluminum without protect from Google.

As my coworkers were telling me I was crazy for spending $549 on a phone, I explained to them why I liked my 2013 Nexus 5 so much and why I'm ditching my S6 for the 6P.

Needless to say, 3 more 6P orders were placed that day.

Yeah I too am ditching the s6 for 6p....so regret getting the s6..... Horrible battery life and fragile, but mostly horrible battery. I went with nexus protect because whole I have ways had a case with my phones I actually hate cases on phones that are so sleek and nice looking/feeling. I thought the nexus protect was priced Good enough to have piece of mind for drops and an extra year of warranty to boot.

Anyone else wish that the 5x wasn't so gimped as compared to the 6p? I really loved the size of my Nexus 5- it's a shame that if you want a flagship device these days that you need monster sized hands (and pockets)- my wardrobe has changed to include a lot more eddie bauer pants that have a side pocket that is large enough for my Nexus 6 (not cargo pants- it's just a pocket on the side that sits just below the main pocket and seemes designed as a smartphone pocket). When I have to wear hospital scrubs (fairly often) I usually am forced to leave my Nexus behind.

Does anyone here uses cases with their nexus phones or any phones for that matter?

I had a nexus 5 on straight talk -- loved it.

Work paid for an S5 on Verizon -- currently on that. Soon as they have some 6P's in stock, I'm going to switch to Project Fi. I break even even after the early termination fee. 200 with verizon, sell S5 and accessories for 200. Even financing a 6P with google I will still be paying 10 dollars less per month.

Worth it to me, plus I'd have what looks like an awesome phone. (Verizon's 5.0 update made the phone slow and shitty)

I'd love to order now, but the fact it says "leaves the warehouse in 3 to 4 weeks, I'll wait an extra month, so my ETF fee goes down slightly with Verizon.

64gb Black 6P, skipping the protection. I've never broken a phone and don't plan to anytime soon.

I would have gone with the 128gb, but I think their price jumps between sizes is way off. with an SD slot, I couldn't justify the additional $100 to make the jump from 64. What's the real cost difference? like $10 or something??

Aluminum 64gb. w/o protect

first phablet sized phone for me. Hope they ship early!

There is still a $79 deductible to replace a phone. But is the replacement new or another refurb? No idea. Didn't read that much into it.

Waiting for a second invite to Project Fi for my wife, and then I'll likely be getting a 6P for me and a 5X for her. I'd skip protection. the cost if it, plus the deductible, plus not knowing if you get a new device or a refurb, I'd rather just protect my phone myself. I've never broken a phone yet.
