Not if you have a notebook with only one HDD port...
If you are carrying these around you need an SSD with hardware based AES encryption for when it gets stolen

Amazon had it for 650 one time and Newegg had it for 675 one time.

still pennies per gigabyte. Imagine SSD prices like that in 2005.

It has by far been the dumbest purchase I have ever made. Other than a much faster boot time, its not even really very noticeable. I fell for the hype. lol

Newegg has been off and on this week. I am trying to order some fans from there not but its a no go for the last hour.715 on Amazon...so it's better than that, but Amazon.com has the advantage of being up
I'm actually interested in moving my desktop to all SSD, but I'll wait and see what happens in November. Maybe these will drop to 600.
I noticed a big difference with an SSD as main drive. This was like 4 years ago though. Modern Windows is a lot more aggressive with caching commonly used apps to RAM so as far as loading apps go, you might not notice a huge difference if you've got a lot of RAM in your PC I suppose.
I also just bought a second 1TB SSD for my VMs, really makes a huge difference there.

They've been down for 3 hours (maybe more). I considered picking up a video card form them, but just went with Amazon. Don't think I would have saved anything.

Well, considering 480-512GB SSD's were priced at over $700 a little over a few years ago...Slystealth has it right, imo.
