NVIDIA sends word that the brand new GeForce Game Ready 355.98 WHQL certified driver is available for download. All you GeForce owners out there that are playing Killing Floor 2 should probably grab these drivers and give them a go.

This new GeForce Game Ready driver ensures you'll have the best possible gaming experience in Killing Floor 2. This driver is also aligned with the new flagship gaming GPU for notebooks, the GeForce GTX 980. In addition, this Game Ready driver also includes updated features and functionality for the GameWorks VR software development kit (SDK).

Though NVIDIA is now telling people to ignore the 355.98 Game Ready driver (r355_00-177, 2015-09-13) and instead grab the non-WHQL 356.04 (r355_00-189, 2015-09-22) if they care about GameWorks VR / Oculus support:

NVIDIA's Windows driver version 356.04 (released 09-22-15) provides beta support for GameWorks VR.
It is recommended that all VR developers upgrade to this driver!

Isn't that normal for VR devs ...

Anyway, 355.98 + Win8.1 x64 fine here.

I get a bsod every time I try to install this driver.
System in signature + windows 10

When I start the installation, during the expansion it will cause my system to BSOD at 72% when decompressing the files. I never crash or BSOD...and this is the first on Windows 10. Also, the folder and files cannot be removed via Explorer. An error output of Error: 0x80004005 Unspecified Error, and having to remove the folder and files via CMD. Something is up with these drivers, and I never say that.

Edit: There are similar problems with other users, and seems to be related to Kaspersky Anti-Virus. If you wish to install them. Extract files manually via your favorite archive program, e.g.7-Zip. Execute the setup and all should be good, as it was for others and myself.: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...eady-display-driver-feedback-thread-9-22-15-/

I rolled back to 355.82 as this one gave me gaming TDRs right away.

Thanks for the headsup guys.
I'm still on 353.38, they are more stable.

355.98 driver works fine for me as well...then again most do.
I typically only install the driver itself, HD audio and physX....nothing else.

shit im still on the 353.30, it runs absolutely everything to massive perfection in win 8
