Trying to decide if I want to get this or use my contract to upgrade to the iPhone 6s Plus 64GB...if I don't use my contract then it would be available for the iPhone 7 next year...
As usual it sucks to be on Verizon

I'm presently on an ATT GoPhone plan. Will this phone work as a GoPhone?
Clearly you're an Apple person, so why go for an android phone?
Im using on verizon also. I put a ROM on and only issue I have is it disables the internet while on a phone call. Still working on figuring out how to fix it...
I used to hack every phone I had and was deep into android exploits and bypassing security measures... these days I run stock encrypted. Android doesn't need to be hacked anymore to run well. I can't think of a reason I would need to run a ROM or have root. The mystery of what could be broken in the build I crackflashed no longer has an appeal. The option of having an unlockable bootloader is nice though. =)KillaGorilla,
Yes I already had that activated. I didnt think to toggle it off then on but it was already on. Advanced calling was also enabled. I flashed to a different EOS rom today and it seems to be working fine now. Seems to be a bug with the Chroma rom I was trying out. Battery life seems to suck though. Any tips? Already running greenify and amplify. Down to 65% after 2 hours
Still on the fence about this one. have it in my cart and ready to order but the new line of nexus coming out has me on pause. I'm going to guess the new line will cost alot more than this anyways and that is out of my price range.

But the 2015 Nexus 6 is supposed to be BEASTMODE:

Why? This phone works on Verizon and every other US carrier.

White 32GB can be had for $300 now

Yeah, another overpriced phone with a non-removable battery and no sdcard slot.
All I want is a manufacturer to build a phone that fits in my pocket, includes the latest chip, an IP67 enclosure, removable battery, sdcard slot, IR blaster, wireless charging, and vanilla Android with an unlocked boot loader. I don't care what it looks like or what they make it out of. Sadly, I don't think it will ever happen.
Edit: wifi calling is tits too
Give me a little smaller screen size but a better rear camera and I'd be all in. Like a G4 without the LG bloatware.
It sounds like you would like the new Moto X Pure. It's basically a Nexus like experience with a few Moto features added on that are pretty nice. Really similar to the Nexus 6 but its 5.7inches with small bezel and is comparable to a G4 in the hand. It has the improved 21MP sensor that seems to be better in every area than their previous 16MP one they were using. SD slot is also a nice change for the Moto X family.
Nexus 6 for $350 is really tempting, I've been wanting to try out Google Fi. I'm still waiting to see if the Moto X Pure can work with Google Fi without any issues, there's some people showing it working good.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check out the Moto X Pure the next time I'm at a Verizon store. It sounds like you would like the new Moto X Pure. I assume it's easily rootable? I rooted my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) within the first couple days I had it. I heard rooting is a little bit of a PITA for the LG G4 (Verizon version).
Thanks and no prob. about offering an alternative phone that's sort of similar to the Nexus 6.I believe so, you can get a code to unlock the bootloader from Motorola but I believe it voids the warranty since it's not a "Developer Edition" phone. There's a pretty active motox subreddit that has good information from actual users. I'm still rocking the Moto X 2013 so I've been getting the upgrade itch pretty bad.
Also sorry if I derailed the thread a bit, thought I would mention the Moto X Pure given the Motorola pedigree and similar price.

I found a review of the Moto X Pure:

I'll read up some other reviews as well and of course try it out at a local store that I mentioned. I'll bring my Otterbox waterproof container to make sure the phone can still fit in there.
