Political Donations, Now Through A Tweet

According to this blog post, you can now make a donation to your favorite politician with a tweet.

We’ve teamed up with Square to enable anyone in the US to make a donation directly to a US candidate through a Tweet, starting today. This is the fastest, easiest way to make an online donation, and the most effective way for campaigns to execute tailored digital fundraising, in real time, on the platform where Americans are already talking about the 2016 election and the issues they are passionate about.
 
We're 14 months from the election and these assholes are already at full tilt.
 
The only donation I'm willing to make involves gravity, a windshield, and what I ate a while ago.

Meh. The big movers have already raised hundreds of millions (or billions) from their various allied PACs. A media outlet that supports one party will point out scummy shit that the other party is doing, and vice-versa. The loyal 'fans' of that party will cry outrage at whichever leader they hate while they dutifully ignore the gold-plated sleazery taking place on their own 'team'. Everyone will be outraged at the other team, everyone will be fighting for 'what's right' and everyone will feel superior. Rinse, repeat.

Holy shit, we're 30 days into an election up here and I'm already sick of it.

Next time, I'm painting a rock half pink and half blue. I can put it in the election as the first gender neutral, inanimate candidate. People from all political wings will be able to vote for it. Finding the safety of a politician that has no agenda.

This election is going to be an absolute shit-show. I keep thinking it can't get any worse, and somehow they find a way. I'm more pissed about our awful governor (Scott Walker) and wonder how much attention he is paying to his current job, which his approval rating is not-so-good, and how much he is paying to his next job which he will never, ever, get. What a huge waste of time and money.
 
What good can ever come from giving a politician money? You must be insane if you do, especially if you're not rich, or a big corporation with an agenda.
