Do you guys think this robot can be trusted? It looks cute, but looks can be deceiving, man.

A 32GB Android tablet serves as both its face (which can be re-skinned with five alternatives) and primary input device through which users can program it to perform various behaviors. Programming Buddy's actions is very intuitive: Simply tap and drag action icons onto a digital timeline that dictates what it'll do and when. The tablet can also charge a number of external devices so long as they have a USB plug. As for Buddy itself, the robot automatically recharges using an included docking station, kind of like a Roomba.

Buddy is much more than a "smart" pet rock!

He's an easy way to spend $700 for the base robot, plus another $325 for things like Buddy's docking station and arms. That's right, $700 doesn't get you that stuff. Oh, and shipping is not included.

Can it cook? can it clean? can it walk the dog? Can it go shopping? Can it wise crack? No. It's not Rosie at all. It might be modern day, but it's got nothing on futuristic.
