Post Your Workstations 2015

Nice, walwalka! My Galant is showing its age and the Bekant probably will be my next desk pretty soon. I love the color.

Thank you sir! I had an old metal and glass desk that was at the end of it's life. Figured why not upgrade to something nicer looking. I really wanted the galant so I could get the extension of the short side. But that never happened.

Just upgraded my rig a little, overdue by 5 years! New case, more RAM, new graphics card, new SSD. :) also treated myself to the Audioengine S8 subwoofer, combined with the A2 speakers makes an epic 2.1 set up.

NAS and Star Wars art ;)

I still need to paint my office, but here is my current rig. I am a Razer fan, and most everything peripheral wise is Razer. I'm running an ASUS Swift and two GTX 980 to power the resolution.

Nothing as fancy as a lot here. Just got everything moved up out of the basement. Still needs some work.

Main computer.

Secoundary.

^^ Holy memory flashback, Batman!!! My first workstation was the same glass desk in your first pic. Only thing I disliked about it was the fingerprint maintenance.

What desk is this?

Hello all -

Im new. I just went through all of 2013, 2014 and 2015 workstation threads. Everyone has such impressive setups. Mine is blah by comparison. But here it is none the less. Its an older system and I hope to upgrade later this year.

I always wonder why people so often insist on putting their PCs on the edge of their desks where they're at high risk of being knocked over and off. And uses valuable desk space.

It does take up space. Which is why Im going mini-ITX for my next build. But there are a couple reasons why I do it now. I have carpet on the floor and since the Power Supply is on the bottom, I dont think it would be good to place it there. Also I have a cat. And she likes to jump on top of it and lay there. Sometimes hitting the power button during a all important gaming session. Putting it on top of the desk kinda discourages her from jumping on it.

hmmm...never had that "knocked it off" problem...drinker?

ride the floor and suck up all the dust goblins , anything not on the floor is a plus

hell , I have even used the wall to hold up a case...(picture is how one of my old "café" setups was done , worked like a champ)

That puts into perspective how big the 540 is... I've been wanting a 240 now for a while unless NZXT comes out with some kind of mITX case I can't live without, but we'll see. SWEET setup.

well I don't know about others but it would take a hell of a rage session or something to knock my pc off the edge of my desk....

It's pretty large, but honestly I like the way it's laid out for size. A lot of cases are significantly taller than it. It's not a whole lot wider than some other "regular" cases. But if you are used to small cases, this thing is huge.. lol

This config seems to be the overall best, as the space behind the monitor when it was in the corner was just wasted.

Just got the Dell. Got a new heatsink and it didnt fit in my midtower so I pulled out the old Rocketfish.

Epic, how is that ms keyboard? is it good on the fingers??

The main reason I got it is because I have he same one at work, and didn't like jumping between split and not split. I absolutely love the mouse. I wouldn't say the keyboard is anything special though.

I got excited when I saw the kb/mouse. I have the same set. But, I was going to say the opposite - love the kb, mouse is meh. Haha. Great for productivity, but I'd recommend something else for gaming.

Great looking setup you've got there!

It has been hot in Portland and my makeshift curtain helped keep the rest of the house cooler by not wasting AC cooling the kitchen. bottom line it works :)

how do you watch pr0n!? zero privacy there...

I kid, I kid.

but seriously...

I live in Utah, in a studio apartment with one giant window and a shitty window AC unit mounted in the wall. Just have some black curtains to block the sun and leave the fan on and AC off--little warm, but it does the trick.

Not much different since my last post--been gettin' funky--err, playing with paint/flourescent dye, finally got a real blacklight:

Did an overhaul of my workstation over the weekend. My Galant desk had developed a serious sagging problem on the left side, which can be seen in this pic.

I removed the left extension piece along with the underframe which was warped from years of heavy equipment and not enough support. Moved the SFF PC to the right side and put the printer on that storage stand I picked up from the Container Store. Sold the big SVS cylinder subwoofer (hard to see in the corner behind the desk), replaced it with an SVS SB-2000 sub that's tucked under the left side of the desk. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out. :)

A/V stuff:
Pair of PSB Imagine XB speakers
SVS SB-2000 subwoofer
Emotiva XDA-2 dac & UPA-200 amp
Samsung 40JU7500 4K 40" TV (90% computer, 10% TV/DVD)
Samsung BD-J7500 Blu-Ray player

PC stuff:
Corsair 250D mITX
Asus Z97I-Plus
i5-4690k w/Corsair H100i
EVGA 980Ti SC+ ACX 2.0+
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1866
840 Evo 500GB x 2
WD Black 2TB
Corsair AX760i
Deck FP tenkeyless
Logitech K750
Razer Diamondback (Best mouse I've ever used, even after 10 years.)
X-Trac Carbonic pad

Mobile stuff:
