Batman: Arkham Knight

It's like eBay but specifically for game keys/gifts. Pretty cheap prices.

What's the latest? Is the game mostly fixed or still pretty jacked up? Been waiting awhile now...

I lost sight of the batman games for a while playing other things but with the news of Knight releasing sparked my interest to play through them. I played a bit of City a couple years ago at a buddies house on 360, loved the combat but didn't get to play for more then an hour or two.

Just played through Asylum and just bought City from steam. Freaking awesome, I'm loving Arkham city especially. I am playing them with my Dualshock 4 game pad though, through DS4windows which had made the experience a lot more enjoyable. This is one of the few games that really requires a controller in my opinion.

After I get through city and Origins (how was that one?) I'll get Knight. Not sure if I'll get it on PS4 or PC though to be honest. I'm looking forward to it though. Having a great time playing City so I can't wait to play in the much bigger open world that Knight has.

PC version looks amazing. It's working well enough for me. No issues with any missions or anything.

I hope Rocksteady gives us an update on the PC release this week...give us a definitive date on the patch...I really want to start this up but since I waited this long a few more weeks is not the end of the world

I wanted to mention that although Origins is not as awesome as Asylum and City (both fantastic games), it is still a very very solid Arkham game. If anyone who has enjoyed Asylum and City as thoroughly as myself, never played Origins because of its bad rep, you are doing yourself a disservice. Yes there were issues at launch (which have been long fixed by now obviously) and yes it was not made by Rocksteady. It is still a great Arkham game nonetheless.
I would give Asylum 9/10. City 9.5/10. Origins 8.5/10 and Knight so far (50% in) 10/10 (not getting annoyed by the Batmobile yet so nothing bad to say for now lol).

if Rocksteady/WB don't re-release (or patch) this game soon (meaning in the next 2 weeks) they will get lost among the big Fall releases...with games like Phantom Pain and Mad Max coming out on September 1st most people are going to forget about Arkham Knight...as me move further into the Fall with Fallout 4, Battlefront etc they don't stand a chance

fuck...every time I see this thread come up as new I think OMG PATCH INFO.

I am dissapoint.

Indeed. Forza 6 comes out the 15th and I plan to play that nonstop until Fallout 4 comes out.

Rocksteady already said September at the earliest.

Rocksteady didn't say a single word about September. The last thing they said a freaking month ago was that there would be an interim patch sometime in August. The September "news" came from a supposed retail leak from Australia that said sometime during their Spring season.

It could also be that a final major fix could come in August with new retail copies of the game hitting shelves in September.

That would be a nice surprise. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the interim patch didn't even come out this month.

Highly doubt this. From the sound of it, they are essentially creating a new PC version. That takes more time than they've used so far.

I don't think it's that bad. The game is still mostly functional. The bulk of the issues are graphical in nature.

I ended up returning the game for credit on GMG. Frankly WB does not deserve full price on this game. Very poor communication. I will never pre-order another Batman game from this studio ever again.

i agree this game is a big sack of shit cant believe they released a game in that state and almost 3 months later its still not fixd right enough..

They'll report back in two weeks. In other words the patch won't be out in August at all. I said I wouldn't be surprised and I'm not. The list of fixes seems good at least but let's see if they can even make the next deadline of "a few weeks".

- Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
- Added VRAM Usage Meter

I've never seen an in-game setting for VRAM usage before...other then using MSI Afterburner or something similar I've never seen this before...I always enable Adaptive V-Sync through the Nvidia Control Panel...having that as an in-game setting is also not that common

Eh, at this point I don't care about another several weeks. The initial hype is over and people have long moved on. Playing it in 2 months will be no different for me than playing it tomorrow.

Would I like it sooner? Sure. But just as with GTAV I'd rather them delay it and really, really get it right than to release it sooner with less fixes. Adaptive V-Sync sounds nice.

It's not like they have much to gain by not waiting. Like I said, most people have moved on. They are taking their time for the right reasons, not rushing it out because they are afraid of losing more sales. It's too late for that.

I'd rather they get it right as well but really their communication this entire time has been complete shit. I'm being snarky and harsh on them because quite frankly they're not doing much to inspire confidence. Instead of going over a month without a word they really should have been giving weekly updates. Even if there is nothing to report a simple "We're still working on it, no new information to report at this time" would let people know that WB hasn't decided to pull a fast one on people and abandon the game. Doesn't help that during the silence they have released all the pre-order exclusive DLC for purchase, released one content dlc, released costume and skin dlc, and also announced more DLC. Given WB's history it's very easy to think that they would rather push out DLC then patch anything.

I'm one of the few I guess that was able to fully enjoy the game with very very minor problems. The game would only crash occassionally. I never lost progress and my Titan X always ran at 60fps. It was a very nice game to play. Sucks so many people had so many issues and that i'm lacking several of the minor story archs that others enjoyed.

The game worked well enough for me with my second card set to handle PhysX only. That was until I upgraded to windows 10. Now I get memory leaks and crashes, basically I can't play for more than 30 minutes to an hour without an issue,

Exact opposite for me. Was barely playable under 8.1, and runs perfectly under 10 now...

It's really cute how people thought the PC version would be revamped quickly. You guys understand that the have to basically create a new PC version from scratch, right? The version they released at launch was a feature parity port of the PS4 version. That has to be scrapped.

I've never seen an in-game setting for VRAM usage before...

GTA4 and GTA5 have one.

Did you dedicate the second card to PhysX? From all the online posts it sounded like the memory issues in Windows 10 was isolated to SLI. ManuelG said that the driver team isolated the cause and are testing the fix, and there should be a hotfix driver coming in the next couple of weeks.
