It seems Wasabi Mango has just announced a 65" version of their large format monitors. Besides supporting HDMI 2.0 like UHD420 and UHD550, it supports 3D, and it seems it has a optical out port, which you can connect to a soundbar (I'm not sure if the soundbar comes with the monitor). It seems there is a 3D glasses bundle, which it will comes with 4 3D glasses. And still it is unknown if this monitor supports AMD Free-Sync or not. (I don't read Korean, so I can only rely on Google Translate. I'm sorry if any info I mentioned is wrong.)

It is selling for 1590000 KRW, which is around $1364. It is still not yet available on those Korean Ebay retailers. Maybe it will available later.....

*update:

It seems there is a unannounced 49" version available (UHD490 REAL4K HDMI 2.0) . It looks like it is a smaller size version of the 65" model, without the 3D capabilities. It is selling for 819000 KRW, which is around $700.

Eh $1300 isn't that the price of the 55 inch model? Maybe we'll see some price drops on the smaller sizes? The Crossover 404k was selling for $500 on ebay not too long ago so hopefully the UHD420 falls into that price range.

I check Gmarket.co.kr, a Korean shopping site, and the UHD550 is now selling for 1090000 KRW, which is around $933. I'm not clear about the original price of the UHD550, maybe it already has a price dropped?

Interesting.. i skimmed and garnered as much as i could from the article.. The translation to english was as harsh as usual.. no mention of latency of any kind... If i could get those numbers (and one of these to appear on ebay) i'd go in for one in a heartbeat.

Wow, the 40" looks small compared to it.
They probably should go for 5k or even 8k on that size.

Oh man, I'm moist thinking about this. I've been eyeballing the 55" model, and upgrading to an R9 Fury / X / Nano and playing the shit out everything with Freesync. I wish they did 1080p120 though (without frame skipping), but I'll be happy with "up to" 60fps gaming.

I wonder what 3D tech these use, and if it can be exploited for higher non-3D refresh rates.

It is AH-IPS likely sourced from LG, therefore it's passive 3D.

I wonder what is the shipping cost (to swallow for unlucky buyer).

Did some more looking around... This has displayport as well.. Thats really cool. Makes me think that these are 100% built as monitors in terms of lag (like my old crossover was). Which was completely tolerable. I'm definitely in for one when they poke their heads out on ebay.

wow looking good been thinking about getting this monitor or the crossover 494 49 inch anyone know when this beast will come out on ebay?

I know it's not rational but I just cant get over the gumpy legs. If I got this I would need to do some kind of mounting arm...

Any idea where a canadian can buy a wasabi mango uhd650? I think the largest newegg.ca sells so far is the 43"inch model!
