Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10158 for PCs

I don't see what incentive Microsoft has to remove any debugging and monitoring capabilities in their retail versions. Google has been doing the same stuff for countless thousands of years and they also have no qualms about stopping 3rd party companies that offer apps via their store from doing so either. The only thing people think they can do to make a difference is to install custom ROMs and permissions control programs which are pretty much completely not proven to make a difference anyway. If Google does it, why shouldn't Microsoft?

These capabilities were always available in previous Windows betas, they've always been removed once it hit retail. The only code left behind are what makes up the crash reporting tool which users can disable.

Secondly, Google for instance... the majority of the population these days, the younger generation, have absolutely no concern or respect regarding privacy. They're all miniature Mark Zuckerbitches who believe they have the right to know everything about people they do not personally know. MZ ought to be assassinated!

Personally, I think MS should just leave the stuff there. It'll give porn surfers and creepers who type sick cyber-perv stuff in pause for thought if they know they're being keylogged by their OS. Besides, for all their moaning and groaning about privacy, they're not going to put in the time to learn some other OS and the point I was making before is that if they're willing to use an Android device, it's very, very likely that they'll eventually end up being comfortable with a copy of W10 that quietly spies on everything they do.

As for Facebook and Zuckerberg, I don't like him either. He's highly unattractive in both looks (OMG that face of his is like a hideous train wreck) and his personality is positively awful, BUT that doesn't justify any sort of violence. Just don't use facebook and actively block FB domains at your router/browser/whatever and you'll be fine. Like I said somewhere else, no one needs Facebook to get access to the games they've hosted anymore so even avid gamers have no reason to use the service.

That's pretty disturbing. Will the final release of Windows 10 contain any spyware?

It was never "spyware."

Insider releases (aka: Alpha, Beta, Technical Preview) have collection mechanisms (telemetry)- the Official Release will not.

Well, I am dead wrong with regards to Windows 10!

Spyware - privacy invasion - galore in this millennial version of Windows 10.
