Morning all. Updated my second computer, sig, yesterday. The resolution is completely off on my Apple Cinema Display and only shows a fraction of whats possible. I have tried to install the latest Nvidia drivers to no avail. It gets to a certain point and says that "discover new hardware wizard is running" and to disable it. Of course hardware wizard is no where to be found.
I have tried uninstalling the old Nvidia software and the system will not let me! I cannot go into control panel and manually remove it.
It's early morning now so I don't have access to the rig as it's in our bedroom.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

How to prevent automatic driver updates in Windows 10: (Thanks to marka211 once again)

Navigate to Control Panel>System and click Advanced System Settings
Open the “Hardware” tab and click the Device Installation Settings button
Change the setting to “No, let me choose what to do” and then enable the option to “Never install driver software from Windows Update
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom.

I would do this and try to install the Nvidia Drivers again.

Try using this to uninstall the driver.

I had to pull out my gtx 750 and run off the built in Intel to go in and cleanup the failing nvidia driver. The. Reinstall the card and then Install the driver

I went into Device manager and uninstalled my Nvidia cards that had a generic driver loaded for them and rebooted. After that it let me install the nVidia driver package.

Yup, use the Device Manager. My wife had to do this over the weekend. They won't come back automatically if you go that route.
Another trick is to swap the hardware driver in Device Manager to something else. The MS VGA for instance will work.
