I do get a little excited every time I roll six extra items on an arcanists box. Still no exalts. Grats on the drop.

Generally i don't 'roll' boxes.. i just pop them and let them drop.. once i got a 20/20 gemcutters with like 12 gems, a few other times it's been like what was posted.. mostly, with arrcanists, it's what was posted without the ex.still, great luck.

Wow, I haven't played this game in the better part of 1.5 years or so. The new UI is really good in that SS.

No loot filter?

I've been really lazy and haven't implemented one yet (or researched any of them). Any suggestions?

Also, anyone else racing this season? I maintain that Descent Champions races are the genre in its purest form: start at lvl 1, grab a unique from the chest and a couple of skills to use with it, then go balls to the walls trying not to die as you traverse through a labyrinth of levels faster than anyone else in 40 minutes.

Edit: "Descent" Champions, not Decent Champions lol

Man why doesn't the game drop bows? My barbarian is the same level with 1k dps because of all the great weapons I have to choose from. My archer? 230dps cause I'm still using blue crafted ones. Silly!

I like NeverSink's filter. A lot of people in the game also seem to really like this filter.

There are some tools that people have created to make creating and editing filters easier. Filtration seems to be the most widely recognized and used by the community.

Here is a Reddit thread that has a lot of links to information, filters and tools compiled in OP.

Check the guild stash later tonight, I have some bows I'll throw in there that might be upgrades.

and that goes for anyone looking for stop-gap gear, I've been adding dual ele w/ hp stuff of various levels that I don't have the heart to vendor/recipe. Nothing is organized though.

My static strike mara is about to hit 80, really enjoying him but other players weren't lying about physical hits being way too hard at the upper end. I run 5x endurance + fortify almost 100% of the time and I still get insta'd from time to time in even just lvl 70 maps.

I'll try to throw some things in the guild stash too but another option - poe.trade. While you're leveling and even into maps, you can get pretty darn good weapons for next to nothing. I'm playing a 1H sword build right now and, as a rule of thumb, you want about at least a 200 dps 1H weapon by the time you get to the end of the storyline. You can probably probably find a sword of that caliber for a couple alchemy orbs - basically nothing. A 250 dps sword which is starting to get into "decent endgame weapon" can be had for 1-2 chaos. Prices stay pretty flat until you get to the really high end gear. Again, for 1H swords, prices start go get into the 10-30 chaos range between 250-300 dps neighborhood which is still pretty darn cheap for a pretty good weapon. Then once you get over 300 dps prices skyrocket into the multiple exalts range. I don't play there quite yet.

I'm guessing bows are similar. In these well populated leagues there is no reason to be using a sub-par weapon. The market is flooded with pretty decent to kind of awesome weapons for very little currency.

hi, sorry for sounding like a noob but how do join the [H] guild? I'd very much like to run some maps with some fellow forum member here. It must be by invite only, I take it? I got a level 50 marauder going, kinda underpowered atm, but really tanky and fun to just jump right in and start dropping bombs and whatnot.

Please someone let me know/

That's a good idea. I hadn't thought anyone would take the time to post gear for sale that wasn't end game spendy shit. I'll bet i can find a decent bow on there. Woot!

I would like to know as well how to join the [H] guild.

This game is pretty fun played it way back in 2012 and its really matured, I find it much more engaging than D3, the loot system and skill tree took a bit to get used to but once you get your head around some of the standard builds its quite nice to have such a large level of options.

PS, as far as loot filters go, I recommend 'One Filter to Rule them All', its very good, and very fleshed out(think 9k lines of code). Give it a shot.

Lol how it takes 9k lines of code... Are they addressing every single item by name or something? I'd like an item filter but I would want to make my own. Hopefully an editor will be made. I'd hate to miss loot I'm after without knowing it

I think you nailed it, that that filter is coded for every single item in the game when not necessary. Just because it's big doesn't mean it's better. I tried the "One Filter to Rule Them All" filter and thought that it didn't hide enough items. The choice of color, font and size kind of got on my nerves, too.

actually, the filter is coded for alot of things.. for the most part, its set out to filter things by ilevel, area level, craftable items, rares, is this blue a good base, is it craftable, etc and so on. it's a good comunnity created filter, imo. btw. just worked malachai in merc.. 6 rips.. 2 were avoidable.. the rest were 1s1k faceplants i couldn't pot out of.. on a melee btw

I feel like this quality of life change hasn't really been discussed or highlighted around here. Remember all those awesome skills and supports you used to have to wait until Act 3 Merciless to get (or pay 4C for)? Well now you can just buy them for cheap from the NPC vendors - and they're leveled depending on what difficulty you're in. I had thought it was mostly basic skills until I looked in A4 tonight and saw Multistrike, Spell Echo, GMP, etc. It really helped my build and all I had to do was drop a couple of alchs on a couple of GMP supports.

Just more reasons to give it a try again if you have been away for awhile!

I feel it's a nice change to leveling and picking up different supports and skills, not to mention they come leveled by act, older char with new support gems/skills? nailed. new char with a different skill route?nailed.. bypassing the trade route? baha. nailed. i dig it. Good qol change, imo.

So my bow collection wasn't as good as I thought, but I threw two low end unique bows (Death's Harp and silverbranch) in there along with another i forget the stats of. I actually got a Lionseye too but you're not getting that :D. Apparently they're much more common now, going for like 5chaos on poe.trade IIRC.

Hit 80 on static guy finally, put together a mini-MF kit and farmed dried lake for a bit, but wasn't really very lucrative (only 132% rarity). Speed running Voll might be good if you can get yourself a higher rarity stack, though running around looking for ghosts is probably better than that.

At this point I need better gear, my spec is more less complete.
4k hp, maxed ele resists, -20chaos res, 8.9k tooltip (11k with charges/buffs)
run arctic armor and herald of thunder
5L - Leap Slam + Faster Attack + Culling + Rarity + Fortify
5L - Static Strike + Innervate + Faster Attack + melee phys + life on hit
4L - CWDT + Immortal Call
Due to the way static strike works other gems that seemed like they would be good choices, weren't.
Weapon Ele - less dps increase than melee phys
phys2lightning - Puts me at 110% phys converted to lightning, which rounds down to 100% and means zero physical damage and an overall dps loss.

What's your way of dealing with mana? Mind linking your tree?

Thanks for the bows. Will check em out tonight hopefully and find something to use for a bit.

I've always heard that static strike really shines with multi-strike, have you tried swapping that in for faster attacks?

not sure how multistrike would fare with static, isn't it 'charge' based so it just blows things out and then you recharge by reusing the skill?

Unless they've changed the skill, Multistrike would get you 3 rapid strikes and result in a continuous pulse of lightning damage as long as you kept attacking, since the bubble of lightning appears on a delay after the initial strike with the skill.

Any recommendations on powerleveling in PoE? Had a decent duelist but I don't think I've played in over a year, assuming there has been a full skill reset somewhere since then.

I haven't played in 2 years and that looks like the same UI I remember...

The placement of the skills and globes is the same but otherwise the graphic design and placement of menus is completely different. 2.0 also brought us options such a customizable chat window (size, color, placement, etc.), customizable loot filters, a clock option (I actually really like this option), and probably some other stuff I haven't tinkered with in the options menu.

FYI, you might enjoy starting from scratch as GGG has streamlined areas and leveling experience. You'll probably finish A4 normal on a new character around lvl 45 depending on if you're starting fresh or not. There's also lots of lore, music, enemies, and other stuff that makes it a new experience.

I may have a relatively OK 5L bow chocko

Dealing with a kitchen remodel so I doubt ill have time to play in the next couple weeks. I'm also only level 30 so ive got a ways to go lol

I cant believe how fast you level now! Feels really great. What level are people when they typically get to merciless now?

I can't speak to Merciless yet but I've got a 58 Ranger in Tempest that is in A4 Cruel. I believe the last area level of normal is lvl 44, so you can expect to be at least that before moving on to Cruel unless you're somewhat pimped out or experienced.

First char for this league is Lvl 68 with 4L boots and total noob gear. Inclinerate totem is great for the poor. If I actually had purchasing power, I could put some real nice MF numbers on it.

Btw, type /passive into the chat. I noticed I forgot a couple quest passive.

this is pretty close in practice as far as putting act iv normal in the can. i just hit 41 and need to go do malachai and his little trio.. shouldn't be too bad.. i don't want to in merc tho.. that was a rip fest.

Man I just got back into this again after about a year. Didn't realize I was in the clan. I'm down to level some with people in the new non hardcore league.
