Yes, using the free version with only 2.50GB of room. I have the Dropbox app on the iPhone 6 to sync all photos from the iPhone and also the Dropbox folder in my Userdata folder on the PC. My question is, how do we clear space? I logged onto Dropbox.com and deleted a folder, and it subsequently deleted the folder on my PC, and I thought I was good, but then it started syncing from the iPhone back to the PC again via Dropbox, thus duping my files... am i doing it wrong?

What space are you trying to clear?
It's behaving as expected; keeping files synced between mobile devices and computers.

Or are you saying the folder you deleted from Dropbox somehow sync'ed back to both devices?

I have a copy of the folder on my PC HDD and on my iPhone, I only want new content on my Dropbox however it is already at 100% capacity. How do I move out some of the old stuff so I can make room for my new stuff??

you'll probably need to remove it from the sync'ed directory to also remove it from the Dropbox account.

it looks like it only syncs from device to Dropbox account. Changes directly to Dropbox do not sync back down to the devices.

Where do I exactly remove the stuff then??

From the PC, and Dropbox?? I moved the folder out of the PC, and also deleted from Dropbox.com website. Still there.

I think what j-sta means is that sync only works one-way with mobile devices, so it won't do a "subtractive" sync from the phone in this case, if that's what you're trying to do.

De-sync the folders, then delete them from the devices. Also, I recall that there's some type of "Recycle bin" with Dropbox.

I may be mixing this up with Google Drive. I just remember that I was trying to clear space once, deleting stuff, but available space wasn't changing. I discovered that I had to "double"-delete it for good from the recycle-bin type feature.
