Air cooled card can't come fast enough for some people. He's taking suggestions on where to mount the 4th card's radiator.

Has AMD improved their Quad-Fire scaling to make 4 cards worthwhile? Or is this just pure fanboy ePeen?

Should look into those new EK single slot water blocks at this point if you are laying out this kind of money IMO.

Yup. Plus the case looks like the enthoo primo, which can house plenty of radiators.

how bad would it be to place them all in line, Fan/cooler/fan/cooler/fan/cooler/fan/cooler/fan?

make a hole on the side panel or get an air cooler for the cpu..

or something like this for the front hdd bay

That is a phenomenal waste of money.

And to be clear: If those were 980 Ti's, I wouldn't say the same.

You mispelled "Or is this just pure mentally deranged consumerism to a degree that's diagnosable?"

Turns out he's an AMD tech, so it makes sense.

Boy you guys are going off the rails, how about all those people that bought titian sil or even quad sli?
Nothing wrong with them I assume so how is this wrong?

Nice setup man. If the radiator can fit on the bottom grill you could twist tie it there.

here! here! it just becomes a clusterfuck if you have to swap cards in and out of machines regularly. bated anticipation of a third party triple fan cooler for the fury x (and no i don't mean the upcoming hobbled fury).

Looks pretty awesome in that it is so simple to do now with no heat issues.

Does the red collor match your budget after paying your monthly electricity bill? :D

Dude are you cageymaru?

That looks really sweet by the way. I would crossfire (only for looks) two Fury X's in a Air 240.
Now that would be sweet. Too bad I don't have money to blow like that but if I did I would post pictures all over here of my set up. :D

If air cooled fury happens to be the same speed and just not have an AIO cooler it may actually give AMD a card with decent value. I couldn't care less about quad fire, but a competitive card would be nice.

It looks like Matt didn't read the Fury X user manual.
The best part is, he's a tech support engi. :D

Yeah he's rank 38 in the world.
Right below a bunch of quad Titan X setups, but right above a bunch of quad 980 setups.

That's pretty darn good for stock settings. I want to see what that Asus modded card can do. There was an image of the stock pump tossed aside and an Asus branded LN2 cooler mounted in it's place.

Really these are some nice cards. About $50 short in performance. But then again the water cooler adds tremendous value also. So in the end I'd say it evens out. The air cooled card should be the sweet point for this series. The 390X already hangs with the GTX 980 in the same way that the Fury X does with the 980ti. There should be an utter destruction of the GTX 980 on 7/14/2015 unless AMD neuters the air cooled card in some way.

Which comes back to the value attached to having a water cooler attached to a video card. What value does it add to the consumer?
