AMD Fury X In Stock thread

Amazon isn't the one price-gouging. It's third party sellers. Amazon has a 980Ti at MSRP right now but with an expected ship date of 1-2 months.

That's stopgap. I ordered one last week and I'm getting it tomorrow.

Welp, here goes nothin! Will let you know how long it takes to get tracking from AMD. (since it IS factory direct)

I yolo ordered one from Provantage too.

Haha, "yolo", you got that right. Pretty excited to get these in my hands. As well, if it's a hit I am sure the price will go up a little, so with Provantage being only $20 over MSRP, I am cool with that. Nothing but good things to say about previous orders from Provantage. (Where I get my supermicro boards from)

Triple display port?! Why would you buy a card with such outdated technology. Should have got 3x HDMI 2.0, it's the future you know!

I have been laughing at this picture for 2 days now :)

Yes, for those of us that do HTPC stuff it totally is. Receivers and most all TVs do not have DP.

seems a lot like shooting a fly with an elephant gun for a HTPC.

I called both provantage and shopBLT, they said the items are on back order for 2-4 weeks before they will arrive at warehouses and they are not factory direct shipping, the nice thing is since i pre-ordered with shopBLT is i can cancel anytime before they ship it out. I decided to keep my order with them for now but if i find a website shipping the on release day then i will probably order elsewhere and cancel the shopBLT order.

Newegg and amazon should ship at launch you just have to be up and watching for the release time.

It's been so long since I've owned a Radeon. Does anyone know if they usually offer waterblocked version out the gates? well, shortly after the gates open.

I am thinking the same. I would prefer Sapphire brand, so I placed a preorder.

If however I can drive down to Microcenter tomorrow and get one at a reasonable price, I may just cancel, or there's always Fury X crossfire. I really want to try one first though to see if with Freesync my eyes can bear somewhat lower framerate.

Also, should be able to cancel anywhere if they list as "Factory Direct" and it's actually not.

Why would you need such a card for an HTPC? A $30 video card should be fine for that purpose.

Because I don't want to buy and support three different PCs in the house.

A $30 card wont have HDMI 2.0, play Blu-rays and 4k Blu-rays and play games.

I get you want to just say it don’t matter and no one will want or need HDMI 2.0 but it’s not the case.

Eh, why are you in the stock thread anyway? Go buy a Titan or something...

You got me there. Don't be such an ass. I did not start the HDMI 2.0 talk and it's not useless. I don't want a $1000 card that is just about as fast as a $500 one.

wtf.. why is it cheaper than the 980ti in europe when it's the same price in usa ?

Thats why I wanna wait for XFX. Newegg sucks for RMAing anything. Took me weeks for them to replace a DOA Mobo.

I'm referring to returns/refund. They won't refund if i want to return it. That's retarded.

Looks like its their policy on all the GPUs. They used to be my sole suppiler for computer gear but Amazon has taken that place. Only reason I haven't bought it on Amazon yet is the fact that my friends gave me GCs for Newegg even though I asked for Amazon. :(
