Fury has a full coverage block, not just a CLC
It's still a Closed Loop Cooler.

Fury has a full coverage block, not just a CLC
If somebody already has a loop then AMD's CLC is useless.
Yeah those are several days old, from a German reviewer I think.
Any word on if EK will have waterblocks ready on the launch date ?
Since the Fury X already has a liquid cooling system that (from all reports) works quite well, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to buy a Fury X, strip it of its liquid cooling system only to strap another one on. Unless money is no object, of course. If I were in that situation I'd wait for the plain Fury (non-X) version and water cool that. Or just modify your loop to cool your other components and use the Fury X as it comes.
4096 vs 3584:The regular air cooled Fury will have lower performing chip I believe.
See stats:

Will need to be confirmed, but if you want best performer, looks like the Fury X is the only choice.
Oh I should have mentioned, I run my PC 24/7. Another reason to avoid cheap pumps.
I don't know where you're getting that number, CLC pumps do not last 70,000 hours.even at 24/7 70,000 hours is 8 years dude.
And I suppose you have facts to back up that assertion? Because Corsair warranties their Hydro series AIO coolers for five years and their Air Series & all fan products for only 2 years.
http://www.corsair.com/en/support/warranty
And CoolerMaster (the maker of the AIO cooler for the Fury X) states that the pump on their Seidon 120 AIO cooler should last 70,000 hours. That means even if you run your computer 8 hours a day, every day, 365 days a year you end up with an average lifespan of 24 years. Kinda puts that 10-15 year lifespan on your S-Flex to shame.

Keep your cheap S-Flex!
They were all two year warranty until very recently, probably hard to sell cooling products with such a short lifespan. And I don't care what kind of advertising CM uses to appease their customers.@ you tainted

I've seen enough failed pumps to know they fail on average around the 3-4 year mark. CLCs being made today might be more efficient but it remains to be seen. I prefer not to take risks on cheap hardware.
See this post
Hmm, my H60 is on 24/7 :S
Yeah, I have an old H50 running 24/7 since release (2009 I believe?) on my old 1366 system.
Really no issue there...
Fan technology has increased greatly over the years. What started with simple sleeve bearings has evolved into mulitiple ball bearing, hydrodynamic fluid bearings and maglev. Likewise, I expect AIO pump technology has increased expected lifespan and reduced noise levels since first being introduced. Without tests or a teardown, I don't see how you can categorically call them all "cheap".They were all two year warranty until very recently, probably hard to sell cooling products with such a short lifespan. Seeing some Sapphire branded cards up for preorder, ~$670-$765.

Good luck getting anything shipped from this tier 3 stores this month.
Can't remember the last time amazon had anything in stock during launch (pc parts being). Better off destroying the f5 button at newegg.
Your local custom Pc shops near you might be taking pre-orders...
I have one near me that is so I snagged a spot with no inflation added to the price. W00t!
I'll probably take a cut and sell it in a month or so after I get done with some benches. I just want to check some things for myself.
I'm just personally interested in -
* How the Fury performs in Gameworks titles. Physx especially.
* Coil whine - been reported by several review sites... how loud is it ?
*Voltage and memory are locked on this card. Possible to unlock via flash ?
After I get my curiosity satisfied and bench it next to my G1 980TI , I'm going to put it up forsale here in the [H] forums .
( I'm also going to do the same for the Fury thats released on July 14th.. Hopefully that one has an unlocked voltages & memory )

Amazon SOMETIMES has 'em at launch, but they're almost always unlisted and you have to search by product code.
It takes em like 2 days to get their shit sorted for new GPU launches.
Amazon gouges like mad on a new product launch. Is 980ti even down to msrp there? Screw them
Amazon isn't the one price-gouging. It's third party sellers. Amazon has a 980Ti at MSRP right now but with an expected ship date of 1-2 months.
