Taking the contents of many subreddits into consideration, I'm thinking this is a good idea. ;)

Reddit, the self-described “front page of the Internet,” will start encrypting all of its traffic by the end of the month, joining other major Internet players that have made similar moves in recent months. “We're ready to enforce that everyone use a secure connection with reddit,” wrote Ricky Ramirez, Reddit’s systems administrator, in a short post.

$200 for a rapid ssl wildcard cert :D

The internet needs to be swept of the riff-raff. Only stores, big outfits or pre-canned services that will advertise and track and monetize you should have an internet presence. So lets raise the price of admission above the small gaming clans, hobbyists and crackpots. They can use our ad & tracking packed free services.

Because Cloudflare's free SSL service is so hard to implement for the small gaming clans... oh wait.

Why? I mean I get and understand SSL, but I don't get the whole Encryption of everything and regular sites using SSL.

On the flip side, as a net admin that must comply with CIPA, this is forcing me to do things like have a filter that does basically a man in the middle type attack on all SSL traffic.
