I work in a warehouse where we use several laser printers (a major chain store, orders for each store need printouts for each pallet and order) and lately I have been having issues with 2 of them, an HP 4515 and an HP M603n, the 603 just seems to be a newer model of the 4515, and we seem to have the same issue between both, they will randomly throw up an error of paper size mismatch, 41.03.0x (x being tray number) no matter what tray or how much I have cleaned the sensors for paper I still get the error code, I have taken both apart made sure the paper path is clean and free of any thing that might cause an issue have preformed tests on all the sensors and paper path tests, updated the firmware on both, factory resets on both, changed what size paper the trays use, as well as adjusted the print out size, all use standard letter paper. if they were still under warranty I would call out an HP tech to look at it but alas they are not. I think the issue might be with the paper pickup, somehow being to slow or to fast or something randomly dragging and causing the printer to see different length paper then whats actually loaded.
So I turn to you fellow [H]'rs to see what you guys might have an idea on. please let me know. I'm going crazy and about to go Office Space on both, and if I do I will be sure to record it and post it here.
