I must clarify that at this point, everywhere just means Newegg and Nvidia because they are the only places selling it that I know of. The GTX 980 Ti officially went on sale yesterday and Nividia is out of stock and Newegg is out of stock from all manufacturers.

Does anyone know where I can still find one? Has anyone had success in ordering one?

Bro it just launched...wait a few weeks.

Brb, making another thread

I want to make a new thread too... lol

For real though by the end of this week there will be more in stock, I am not at all surprised that the card sold out, every product ever released has sold out or been total shit.

Fanboy: It's so hot it's sold out.

Reality: Hasn't been released to etail yet.

in fact its already released.. apart from nvidia newegg also had some model available yesterday late night.. but are already all sold out..

Does that mean that for now it will impossible to buy a 980 Ti?
Gonna have to wait for Pascal then...

Is this where us Titan X owners start rubbing salt in the wounds of people that want a 980Ti's? I think it is...;)

If you're not prepared to F5 every few minutes, might as well just wait a week or two until stock stabilizes.

Holy cow - so much drama. They haven't even really released only but a few of the models. The normal ACX 2.0+ hasn't been released yet, along with many others.

Take a freakin' chill pill people. They can't run out of something's that isn't even being sold yet.
The reference model and SC are pretty much the only one's that are even being sold at the moment - and they go in and out of stock.

Dang teenagers.

i think a lot of us are waiting for 390x before we make any purchase anyway.

That's what I have been thinking about. I really want the 980 Ti and I am bummed I can't get one now but maybe this is a sign that something better may be around the corner.

Well of course something better is around the corner. Duh?

I'd be willing to bet Maxwell refresh early 2016, Pascal late 2016. Isn't the first run of Pascals supposed to be purely for HPC on NVlink anyway? Haven't heard anything about consumer motherboards that will be using NVLink, and I doubt there will be any. A consumer GPU, I assume, would have to have some sort of PCIe to NVLink bridge on the board. Some sort of base PCIe board where you could snap in whatever Pascal card you want to would be pretty cool.

ahem

we'll see

don't be surprised if it's on 28nm. ;)

LOL touche. With TSMC's lip service claims of 10nm, 7nm, and at this point probably claiming silicon can go to .5pm's it's hard to believe they can produce anything reliably at this point.

Although Maxwell is already in its refresh since they claimed the 750/750Ti were the first gen, so Pascal should be up regardless.

Would be kind of silly since NVLink isn't meant to compete with PCIe in the consumer space at all and would offer next to no real improvement (as you can see from PCIe 2.0 > 3.0). Faster lanes to the CPU isn't going to make developers jump on board to transfer data to it if they can avoid doing so. As far as a Maxwell refresh, GM200 is pretty much the big chip for that architecture. Maxwell Shader Core improvements will carry on to Pascal since Nvidia still does a semi-4 year architectural design that carries over through 2 generations and 2 refreshes.

Gigabyte 980 Ti in stock now and just got one ordered for overnight :D

*edit - Ghosthunter beat me to it and has link ^^

With what happened with 20nm, I don't think NVIDIA would still be putting out press releases about 16nm at this point if they were not sure that the yields would be there in time for a consumer product launch next year.

Just got my 980TIs in today. I had to be fast and ordered straight from Nvidia, don't forget you get Batman Arkham Knight with purchase.

I think we've reach the point where architecture and process tech no longer progresses together. We'll have to get used to what we saw with Maxwell, new architecture being release on older process tech. The time it takes to shrink the process is too long for the architecture cycle to wait, and it will only get longer IMO.

At least the 28nm process is cheap at this point, so we have that going for us.

I saw evga in stock on newegg last night and ordered immediately, but my order has been stuck in "order verification" since last night...even though the charge has already shown up on my card.

Now the cards are showing out of stock. wtf newegg.

Amazon used to be my favorite, i even have prime, but they started charging tax in Illinois this year, so now i ordered my Ti from Egg. Now that i think about it i have to go back to Egg and their shitty shipping/return policies for all my computer parts. Dammit

That's why I don't buy from Amazon anymore either.

$78 in tax on two 980 Ti's? Disgusting.

Thankfully Newegg is still tax free.

That won't last much longer.

This seems like a soft launch to me. Same old routine it seems. It will probably take weeks before we see consistent inventory on these.

EVGA has been off an on all day. Saw a hybrid this morning.

Still no SC+ACX+BP.

F5 is your friend!
