Windows equalizer resets after switching sound devices

So I have 2.1 speakers and a headset plugged into 2 different sound devices. One goes to the motherboard (speakers) and one goes to my Creative Soundblaster Sound Card (headset). I use an application called SoundSwitch to allow me to use hotkeys to switch between the two sound sources since its a pain to plug and unplug from the back of the desktop.

However, every time I switch between the 2 sound sources, my equalizer that I set through windows Sound Configurations is reset and goes to default. My music then sounds flat every time I switch back and forth.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

why use 2 different sound devices? and which creative card are you using?

I forget exactly which model. Its an old SoundBlaster though.

And I'm using 2 diff sound devices because I keep both my headset and speakers plugged in at the same time. They both have to be plugged in the back of the desktop/tower so its a pain to reach back and switch them everytime.

Thats why i was asking which card you have......I and most everyone keep both headset and speakers hooked up same time and just switch via the creative console or sometimes with an app made by independent devs. Do you need to really use both at the same time? Also your not possibly using a recon are you?

@primetime, No I am not using a recon.

In my first post, I've said that I do not use both at the same time, but switch between the 2 sound sources using an app by independent devs, called SoundSwitch.

So the problem isn't the ability to switch between the sources, but the loss of the set equalizer when doing so
