Any SC fans?

Bought SC conviction the other day because it's the only SC title I haven't played yet. I was extremely dissapointed. Definitely one of the worst games in the series. I couldn't believe you couldn't pick up bodies and move them! I immediately went and got Blacklist again, which I'm loving once again. Played through it last year on my PS3, and now that I have a nice system I decided to get it for windows since obviously SC is best played on a PC.

Im loving this game again, so much better the conviction. Also it's a lot more fun now on PC of course. I love the 4E missions. Trying to beat 20 waves on Charlie's embassy missions on the realistic difficulty is challenging! I'm having a great time playing on realistic. I'm sure the hardest difficult would definitely be a tough at through. The game isn't really particularly difficult, but when you're going for a specific play time and trying to get achievements it can be tough at times on the harder setttings. Still super fun though.

Any news on the next title? I would love to see another splinter cell game this year that is done right.

Chaos Theory was my favorite in the series, and still looks pretty good on PC by today's standards. I've always been a fan of Splinter Cell. I have Blacklist on the Wii U but have so many other games in my backlog just haven't gotten to it.

Double Agent was okay when you weren't sneaking around that stupid base, but the actual missions were fun. Especially the cruise ship.

I guess Blacklist is better but damn if I have time to play them all I own both of them.

For some reason I couldn't get into Blacklist. It seemed cool but I kept getting stuck at certain parts when wanting to go full stealth (which seemed like BS AI hypervision), got frustrated and gave up.

I thought it was poor compared to Chaos Theory. No interrogating of enemies, the same button to knock out an enemy also closed doors, or picked up a weapon on the ground. That is how I died most of the time. And the maps were also more linear. That Iranian Embassy mission for example. Typically you'd move through a set piece area, and then onto the next. A pretty big step backward from CT.

I liked Blacklist well enough and it's pretty cheap now.

Far and away the best game in the series for me is Chaos Theory, though.

Yeah chaos theory was great, to be honest I don't remember if I finished it or not. Guess I'll have to reinstall it and find out :)

I like the theme and the gameplay appear to be good. But I've try the last episode late and just after the newest Tomb Raider that I've play late too and I found that the graphics was not really worth it. Or maybe it's the theme of Tombraider or too much great it was that lead me to not play the newest SC.

A bit OT but if you like Splinter Cell then also try Hitman series. Blood Money and Absolution are both fun games with a similar sneaking type of gameplay.

Absolution is a pile digipoop. Hitman 2 and Blood Money are fucking awesome though.

Back on topic Chaos Theory is in my top 3 stealth games ever along with Thief 1 and 2. Conviction is not a stealth game but Blacklist is. It doesn't reach the stealthy ninja sweetness of Chaos Theory but it gives a very decent try. You can change the settings to make it very closely like Chaos Theory by bumping up the difficulty to the highest setting which turns off all the modern helper things like quest arrows and prompts etc. At that setting it is 85% of the Chaos Theory experience. Chaos Theory is automatically better for the simple fact it has visibility and a sound meter and you can slow or speed up your steps along with millions of ways to affect light sources. Also Chaos Theory was hilarious and badass with grabbing baddies and choking the info out of them and talking shit to them while doing it.
